I've been mountain biking for a year and tried at least 3 different saddles on 3 different bikes all across the US. Economical aluminum frame hardtail vs Fancy $5k+ carbon fiber enduro bike. Cute chill trails. Strenuous uphills that I eventually had to hike-a-bike. Padded chamois, chamois butter, anti-chafing balm. No matter what I did, I'd always have 'issues' and have to stop periodically to, unfortunately, stick a hand down my shorts and gently re-arrange any chafing issues and rub away the numbness. Turns out all I needed was a women's specific saddle! I've been on this for a couple 2-hour long rides now, and haven't had to adjust my shorts or saddle at all. What a wonder it is to just ride, and not be bothered by the constant, unyielding pressure of an anatomically incorrect saddle. So, if you're a lady rider who's never tried a lady-specific saddle. Please spend the money and try it! I can even ride on this without a chamois. It's amazing! FYI, Ergon make an SMC "Comfort" version with more foam padding and a wider base as well as Sport Gel versions with some gel padding for more comfort too.
