OR classically does not make clothes to fit curvy people. These leggings were long, which created bunching at the ankles. They had weird seams across the thighs which, when lunging pulled tight into my thighs. It didn't hurt, but it was uncomfortable, which meant that these wouldn't be great for the more intense hikes I do. These leggings, above all else, are see through. According to the size chart, an XL was my fit. I ordered the XL, and it had a weird fit through the pant, but the fact that it is see through is an immediate no. You can see the tag in the photo I added, and you can see the lines of type on that tag. And in the second picture you can see the weird, bunching fit in the front.
From easy gravel runs to technical single track and to the near summit of Cotopaxi, the Ad-Vantage Leggings can do it all! They are my comfortable travel companions for long car and airplane rides, my hitting the town post-run for a beer outfit and the perfect spring trail running combo. The high rise waist and deep pocket construction are perfect for days that you don't want to carry your running pack but still want to have the essentials, like a phone or snack on hand. The wide contoured waistband was the perfect amount of support that also allowed for ease of movement and breathability. One major bonus for sunny springtime running is the UPF 30 protection in the fabric, making these leggings a great sunny day running or hiking option.
I bought these for my wife for mothers day. She loves them and started wearing them right away. She had only worn them a few times before the stitching started to come undone. I would like to think this isn't a common issue and maybe we just got a bad pair but be aware.
I have owned two pairs of these. The first pair developed a hole in the crotch area and I was unable to repair. I quickly bought a second because they were perfect for the days at a crag with climbing and trail running in the nearby hiking areas. Unfortunately, the seams along the front thigh area were ripping after one wear while pulling them up to sit in the right position. Now, I've developed another hole on the back after some hiking and climbing in a granite area. I like these but not for any big outdoor climbing or hiking activities that may involve scrambling.
Very comfortable for hiking, best legging I have purchased. Love the pockets.
I just got these but have already worn them a few times. I have been wearing them for running and working out. They are soft, fit well, and seem to be well made. They are comfortable and in no way restricting. The duraprint is a little weird but I am used to it now, time will tell if it improves the durability. So far I am very happy with them. I got naval blue and it is a very nice shade. Update: one of the seams has let go. I called OR and they indicated it is a defect and will allow a one time return, I have downgraded my rating because of this.
These leggings are great for my intended use - running and hiking - with a few small flaws that would make them great. They don't have a draw string, which is my biggest complaint about them. It would be an easy fix to create a more functional legging for long days of wear. Secondly, for my preference the fabric is a little thick for summer use. The pockets are great, although the opening is a little close to the waist (backpack straps can make accessing them a little tricky). But overall they feel and look great! The accent details
Recently learned about the negatives of mixing poly/spandex blends and sweat, so I've been on the hunt for alternative fabrics. These are my go-to running tights now: they stay up, they hold phone and dog treats, and after 2 months of almost daily wear for running and hiking, I'm sold. S fits well on my 60+ year old, 5'3" 130 lb fit frame. Only con: They are not light enough for really hot weather. I'll look elsewhere for lighter weight.
I just bought two pairs of the leggings in a size Small. The sizing has changed significantly or else it's just this batch. My body hasn't changed- the same thing happened with two pairs of shorts. All of a sudden I can barely pull them up. So while I love the items, the sizing has shifted so now it's unpredictable. Not sure if I'm going to get more because now I don't know what size I wear any more.
I love these, a lot. The fabrics super nice and soft and I love the resin coating on high-wear areas, and the color Dawn, is nice. However, I was wearing dark blue (not navy) underwear and when I bent over my partner told me my underwear was visible. If they were a different color I don't think you'd have this issue. I'll just wear nude underwear.
