Easy on, easy off!
This helmet is a testament to simplicity. It is clean in appearance and seamlessly functional! The adjustable sizing wheel in the back is so easy to use, even with cold fingers, which I really appreciated during these winter days on the ice. It's so nice to have a piece of easy-to-use gear that keeps you safe. The buckle is so easy to release, you don't have to fiddle with it. Easy on, easy off! The white matte finish is really sharp. It is such a simple helmet, but yet the small details are really dialed in and I really like the look of it. The appearance compliments other clothing instead of having too many bells and whistles and trying to take the stage! The padding inside is cushy and comfortable, and goes all around, all without being bulky.
very comfortable helmet!
This helmet is exactly what I wanted it to be. First and foremost, it is very comfortable, the interior padding isn’t too thick, but gives just enough cushion, the tightening mechanism is very easy to use, just by turning the knob on the back one way or the other, and the chin strap is very easy to adjust but doesn’t loosen while you ride. Second, while it is not particularly light weight, the weight of the helmet is balanced across your head and I didn’t feel top heavy while riding my bike or skateboard. Third, the helmet doesn’t obstruct my vision at all like some helmets I’ve owned in the past have. I will say that I prefer the fit for skateboarding over biking, but I wear it for for both activities.
Solid, Light, and Basic Helmet for Any Use
I have used this helmet for a few weeks as a general all-round helmet for biking and skating. It isn't as bulky as skate helmets I used back in the early 2000s but still feels sturdy enough to take a fall. I like to use helmets for their intended sport (road for road, mtb for mtb, etc). I use this helmet for taking the kids to get ice cream on the skateboard, riding around the neighborhood on my commuter bike, and cruising at campsites on the e-skate. It does all those pretty well while being comfortable. It doesn't get too hot because of the vent holes and the reflective straps help stay visible at dusk.
Great for our child with sensory differences!
My 6 year old is autistic and doesn’t like things on his head due to sensory differences that he has. This helmet has been a hit with him, however. He likes that he can buckle it without worrying about having his fingers pinched and he likes that he can take it off quick when he needs a break. All in all, we are very happy with this helmet!!
Great adjustable skate helmet
Great skate helmet. Highly recommend. It is often hard for me to find helmets that comfortable for my head, but since this one is adjustable band across the back, it fits snuggly and very nice. Other features are standard but also nice: adjustable chin strap, removable padding inside. Also, it runs true to size.
Very good helmet well made.
Very good helmet. Strap is well made and has a good reflective stripe. Fit it great. The only negatives are adjustment strap seems a bit weak. And It could use thicker padding. Good air flow outer shell is well made. Would recommend
Comfortable for long wear... runs small
This helmet is very comfortable to wear for long periods. It runs on the small side, so if you might be between sizes, definitely size up; its got a clever dial-in tightener. I tested this outside for a short skate, and inside I wore it for a full work day to see if I'd get a headache. I'm happy to say I was just as comfortable at the end of the day as at the start, which is rare for me. I would wear this helmet for skating and also spring skiing when it's too hot for ear covers.
Protect Your Brain
This is a solid, sturdy skate helmet. When you put it on it does feels a bit heavy on your neck, primarily due to the outer hard shell, as well as the 1” thick foam inside the helmet. The helmet does have a comfort liner inside. Two of the best features of this helmet are the knob closure on the back to adjust fit and the innovative speed closures on the straps. This virtually eliminated fussing with the straps to get the right fit and can be adjusted on the move. The reflective straps are also comfortable with facial hair and I did not experience any hair pulls or pinches. I have not had an opportunity to test this helmet in warmer temps, but it appears it may sacrifice cooling for safety. I did not take a spill while wearing this helmet, but no doubt that it is beefy enough to protect your most important organ.
Cool but snug helmet
I got this helmet in black in size Small. It has a nice matte black color and has adjustable chin straps and a back of the head adjuster as well. It has a few holes on top for air circulation. I have dropped it accidentally a few times but it seems to resist scratches pretty well. In terms of sizing, I have an average sized head, but it fit super super snug /tight against the sides of my head and will not layer on top of any hat and definitely gave me helmet hair. I will definitely pay more attention to the sizing chart for this helmet brand next time. I felt protected (the helmet was well cushioned) and looked cool while biking and skating. This helmet was "no frills." It didn't have any reflective parts or lights to use in the dark. Note: I received this product for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review.
Snug fit, solid design
This helmet seems like it’s made well, though it has a thinner profile on the sides so fits a bit tighter than I’d hope for my typical size (SM). The front-to-back fit is just right. Breathability and chin strap are good. For longer wear, I would prefer a different helmet due to the fit, though for shorter stints might be okay. Overall seems like a solid design; didn’t do a fall test, but hope it would hold up to impact.
