Great suit for activities.
Comfortable and great for swimming. Fit well and soft, but durable fabric.
Saggy
Honestly, I am disappointed in these bottoms. If wasn't a dumb dumb and wripped the sticker right off the crotch in the first 5 minutes, I would have returned them. I ordered a small, I'm 5'5" and 120 lbs, definitely have a white woman butt, but these were quite big and saggy. I feel like I should have purchased an XS, but I ordered a S because my previous prana bottoms were S and I loved them. So, if you're booty is a shelf (I'm not sure I can do any more squats!), then maybe this will fit great. If not, expect saggy with your normal size.
Great bottom
I purchased the summer wave bottom as well as the ramba bottom because I simply wanted to know the difference. I like the summer wave bottom better. This bottom has a lighter fabric than the ramba, fits better, has more glute coverage and doesn't dig into your sides like the ramba. I also found the ramba bottom a little lower than the summer wave bottom. Both bottoms run true to size. If you want a tighter fit, go with the ramba.
Top flap opens up when swimming
The top of the bottom opens when I swim, so I am on full display. This is fine in the ocean if no one has goggles on or when lounging at the beach and not using it as a swimsuit, but it is annoying. I have had this problem with other Athleta bottoms. Also, I am a size 6/8, so a M fits just right. It is not a sizing issue.
Made for a booty!
These bottoms are a girl with a bootys dream! I am 5’9” 140, athletic build, purchased a Med. And they fit like a glove. If you want a wave ready for, you might consider sizing down one size. These are flattering, the elastics are placed perfectly to not give the dreaded double cheek. I will be ordering another pair.
Just right
Well-made and just the right coverage for me. I ordered these and the rumba bottoms because I couldn’t tell the difference online. They are both cut almost the same the main difference seems to be the fabric. I liked these bottoms better because they have less compression so I kept these and returned the others.
Great Bottoms!
Overall love these bottoms! I am 5’4, 125lbs, athletic build. Normally a true-to-size Medium b/c I don’t like things too tight, but The Small’s are PERFECT and forgiving! Enough room that they do not dig in anywhere or cause any muffin top. Wish there were more solid colors!!
Swim bottom keeps my bottoms covered
Prana, your sizing is so odd with swim tops, but your bottoms are generally near perfect. This covers my bum. I'm past the age of wearing cheeky bottoms...somethings need to be appropriately covered. Not only covered, but stays in place, which these do. So, thanks for that!
Younger bodies or show offs
Sorry but this swim bottom is too skimpy for me. Great material and might wear in back yard. Looks like it will hold up well. Just not for my body type or age. Fits me more like a thong and I'm not used to showing off my body parts so much. Not for the faint of heart.
Super comfy and cute -- my new fave swim bottoms!
These are my new favorite swim bottoms. The fabric is soft, and the waistband is very comfortable. They stay up very well, no worries about slipping. I'd buy another if I liked the color. The fit is solid. I have an XL; for comparison, I wear a 14 in the Prana Halle pants.
