Runs small and short
The material is great but as a bigger women this product runs small and I'm sad to not see an XXL option. It was fairly tight on and was very short. Usually you can expect hoodie type products to be relatively long to cover your front and back. When i lift my arms my belly button shows. I'll be returning this and trying the men's size. The first 2 pictures are how it naturally wants to lay the others are when I force it down. As you can see it also doesn't have a "womens" cut so there is no extra room for hips/butt. Kinda sad, I wanted to love this.
Perfect Hiking Layer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great layer for my recent Colorado 14er hike. It packs small and is far more breathable than my raincoat, but still cuts the wind. I was able to wear a tshirt and my OR Vigor 1/4 zip underneath it comfortably. I only wore a tshirt under the anorak on my way back down the mountain since the sun came out and it helped to regulate my temperature. I ordered the small and medium since I'm between sizes (5'3", 145lbs), but the small fit better under my hiking hip belt and I was still able to wear decent layers under it. I look forward to using this anorak on more hikes and as a nice option for walking the dogs on chilly mornings.
excellent anorak
Well, I dont usually write reviews, but this anorak is a keeper. I bought after a wirecutter review, and wasnt sure what to expect. Fabric is soft, and sturdy, sheds water, pockets are great for stuffing gloves or whatever. I have worn it as the outer layer for mountain snowshoeing/ XC skiing- even using the side zip vent ( which actually seems to work better than pit zips). It layers over warmer jackets and keeps the warmth in or unzip and let the heat fly. It can easily be the solo layer when walking the dog or racing for errands. Packs down small and travels well, even the hood works nicely. This jacket has become a great one to grab for all outings.
My third ferrosi
I have two of the full zip Ferrosi hoodie jackets and one full zip without a hood. Love them all, but they are tight around my hips, I can't use the side pockets since I always have a pack on, and the full zipper does pucker out. So this anorak was the perfect upgrade. It has a wonderful lose fit which is good for pulling it on or off, especially with a helmet on. I use it for warm spring ski days, cool fall hikes and sometimes even powder days. The pouch pocket is a tad overkill but it works well with a pack on or throwing something in it with a pack on. The hood fits well, not too big so it doesn't droop off to the side or cover my eyes! Really love this anorak. It is very breathable, but does well in a wet spring snowstorm or a few sprinkles. Also windproof, but if the winds are really bad I use my OR wind shell. It might run a bit big for some, but I love things slightly big for layering and comfort. I got a size large and it does run bigger than the ferrosi full zip hoodies.
Awesome Three-Season Hoodie
The material is not too heavy, but keeps you warm enough without overheating. The snug-to-the-face hoodie stays put on the windiest of days. The hoodie also offers great neck protection from the sun and elements. The zippered pouch is really big and the hand pockets are super convenient. I can't give it five stars for the following reasons: (1) the kangaroo hand pockets do NOT have snap closures as written in the description (2) the rhubarb color is very bold, almost electric [color needs to be more subtle] (3) I wish it had thumb loops and (4) the torso length seems a little short, especially if something heavy is in the front pocket or you are using the hand pockets, the back side tends to raise higher than I like it.
Great layer for fall
I'm a big Ferrosi fan and own several zip hoodies, but this jacket has become my go to for spring/fall and a great layer in winter. It's a looser fit than the jackets which I like for activities. I love the fun colors! I'm also a big fan of the side zipper if I need to cool down during hiking or get to my base layers. I haven't found much use for the front zipper pouch (though it comfortably fits my phone/wallet/whatever it will definitely show), and I tend to use the pockets instead. Overall a nice look for a hike in the woods or a trip to town!

Love it
I have an old Ferrosi jacket with sweater cuffs on the sleeves and waist and I have loved it. When I first saw this online, I didn't think I would like it. I tried it on in a store and fell in love with it. It is a great lightweight layer that does an excellent job at cutting the wind and keeping you comfortable when active. I wear it mountain biking and love that it is super packable on the way up and keeps me warm on the way down. If you're thinking about it-buy it! You will love it and get tons of use out of it.
Really awesome budget option, wish the waistband were adjustable
I bought this to replace a really well worn Rab softshell with similar fabric and for a similar layering purpose. I also need it to be in a cool color because duh. So far I really like the fabric, I have a pair of pants with a similar fabric and I can tell it will be very nice and hold up to the elements. My only gripe is the waist fit. I'm definitely on the taller end and needed an xl, but it feels like I'm Marilyn Monroe because it's so wide on the waist and I don't love how it makes me look. Because there's no returns I'm going to get this tailored for a better fit on my waist. I think this is a great jacket with minimalist features. I can't wait to use this more hiking, Backcountry skiing, and backpacking in the woods. It's very well designed aside from the waistband cut

I'm obsessed
I just got this jacket and I'm already obsessed with it. Have worn in on a few cold morning runs paired with a lighter base soft shell layer and it's perfect. The zip on the side is perfect for venting while the breathability of the fabric is amazing (paired with how it cuts the cold wind too). I love the fit, which isn't too tight or too loose (I'm 139lbs, 5'6 and got a medium). I can layer it if I like and it has a casual outdoor look. I will definitely be getting more colour-ways!
So comfy and keeps the wind out
I just got this today and immediately work it to the park in a lot of wind. It's awesome. I was a comfortable temperature the whole time, with only a tank underneath. Now I'm home on the couch and equally comfy, still the perfect temp. I was worried the XL might be too tight around the hips, and that it might be too short in length, but I'm super happy that the fit is excellent all round. I'm going to have to get another colour.
