Color shown very inaccurate
The KUHL shirt is extremely comfortable, and I've found it durable thus far. It should be great for travelling. My one complaint is that the color as shown for the "Night Blue" is not remotely accurate. The shirt is dark-gray with maybe some blue tinge to it in the right lighting, but that's as close to blue as it gets.
Great even after a few washes.
Extremely comfortable, light and airy. Good for hot summer days. I'm 6-00 and 175lbs, and got a medium, which fits fitted but not overly tight. I'm right between large and medium but got the medium which fits well. Like everything else Kuhl makes, it looks great and I get a lot of compliments. Also seems to be made really well. I've washed it a few times and it looks as good as new. Somehow Kuhl clothes like this have collars which hold up after washing. Usually the collars on these shirts get all mangled up after one wash, but these look as good as new. I don't know how they do it, but it's appreciated.

Good looking hiking shirt
Nice shirt, fits well! Comfortable, great for hiking out doors. I’ve gotten may compliments wearing it.
Look and feels great. Not suitable with backpacks.
It's a really nice shirt - looks and feels great. However is unsuitable for wearing with a backpack of any kind. The fabric pilled really badly after just a single day where the arm straps are, and also spots of the white backing showed through where the hip belt was.
The pattern is printed.
It's a nice shirt but material is not as expected. The pattern is printed with a white inside you can't see in the photos. The material feels slippery. I favor their nylon tech shirt material where the pattern is part of the fabric vs printed.
Excellent Summer Button-Down Shirt!
This is one awesome short sleeve button-down shirt! The large fits exactly as it should. The material is super soft and comfortable - and it breathes very well. I've worn it on hot, humid summer days and it performs well. If I do sweat, the shirt dries quickly and doesn't stink. It also looks nice so I can easily wear it around town. This really is all I want in a nice looking SS button-down shirt for summer. Score!
Perfect for multiple uses
I'm 6'2", 200 lbs and bought the blue XL for $55. Three months and about 30 wears in, this has become a go-to shirt. The fabric is genuinely soft and comfortable—I can wear it all day in my business casual office without an undershirt and it doesn't irritate or get clammy. It's held up great through 15+ washes with no fading, pilling, or loose threads. I've been washing cold and drying on low, and it's actually gotten softer without losing shape. Where this shirt shines is versatility. I've worn it tucked in with dress pants for work presentations and untucked with shorts on weekends—it works in both contexts without looking out of place. The material has enough weight to drape well but breathes fine in air conditioning. Doesn't wrinkle much either. Fit note for tall/athletic builds: I needed the XL for sleeve length, but the torso runs generous. There's more fabric through the midsection than I'd prefer, so it's a bit loose when untucked. Not a dealbreaker, but if you're looking for a trim fit, this isn't it. The cut works better for broader or heavier builds. At $55 it's not cheap, but the quality justifies it if you need something that bridges casual and business casual. I'd buy another, especially on sale. The durability looks solid for long-term use.
Excellent feel; usually a M, but went Small.
This shirt looks nondescript online, but its excellence shines when you try it on. Light and soft, feels like it will be great in hot weather, flattering to athletic builds, nice cut for a relaxed but put together look. I'm usually a solid M, but needed a Small in this shirt. The measurements given here did not align with material reality (i.e. small lists chest of 37-39, but I'm a 41" chest and the small fit great, and M was boxy/ baggy). I may end up buying another in a different color because I can imagine this shirt becoming a go-to for the hot months.
Extremely Comfortable Shirt!
One of the most comfortable shirts I have ever owned. I enjoy it so much that I purchased three of them. The color is a unique and the fit is superb. The only thing I would say that is not so positive is the fact that some of the material is turning white in very small spots. It's not noticeable from a distance, but I can see it up close. I do hope the shirt lasts for seasons to come - it's an awesome shirt.
