[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was really painful when I was getting down from the mountain. Before buying this shoe it was written as order one size bigger, I followed the same. I generally use 5.5 but I ordered 6, when I used ankle length socks, top and back side of my ankle got hurt, and when I used full length socks my front side of toe nail was severely painful. Apart from this shoe was waterproof. Luckily I was carrying another pair of shoe. As I used that shoe so didn’t returned it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They have been tested in really bad weather. Drudging through mud and cover the shoe depth puddles and surprisingly there was no water ingress at all so I am genuinely happy to report that they are everything as waterproof as they claim. The only down side and the reason they are not a 5 star shoe is that the Gore-Tex protection required a fold on each side of the laces which is uncomfortable on the top of your foot if you are not wearing a decent thickness sock. Not an issue when your out on a trek but it was my hope that I could wear them as an everyday shoe and I wouldn't normally wear thicker socks. Overall a great shoe and I would purchase again as a stand alone walking shoe.
I’ve been using the Adidas Terrex AX4 GORE-TEX Hiking Shoes for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed. They’re comfortable from the get-go, with plenty of cushioning that makes long hikes much easier on my feet. The GORE-TEX keeps my feet dry in wet conditions, but they don’t overheat, which I love. The traction is solid, even on slippery or rocky terrain, thanks to the Continental rubber outsole. They’re lightweight but feel really durable, and the reinforced toe cap gives extra protection. Overall, these shoes have been great for all types of hikes, and I’d definitely recommend them!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every pair of shoes I own will give me at least one blister while breaking them in - except these ones. After leaving my previous pair at a friends house I bought these ahead of an 18 mile hike. Never hiked in them and comfortably did the entire hike no problem. These shoes are light, breathable and excellent on rocky trails.
Was using it for few times and had terrible blisters. My last blow on the trip to South Korea and my friend had to pop the blisters with needle. It’s ok for casual walk, not for hiking or long walks. Adidas shoes never been built for long walk. The inner sole was also thin and hard, bad support.
I bought this shoes because of Vancouver’s weather. It is always raining and I need something easy and practical on daily basis. So I don’t need to worry about wearing heavy boots, or stay with my feet wet. It is not as light as it could, but it is comfortable.
I bought these more for the waterproof than hiking. I also plan to wear them in the winter/snowy season. They feel thick and durable. They run a bit big, but I think I’ll just wear thick socks with them. Overall very happy with them and how thick they are!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the colour, may change the laces at some time as I am not a pink person most of the time but a little I can deal with, thank you they replace my older hiking shoes. They were about to die so I needed to find something just as comfortable. Cheers!)
I used the old seasons but the dimensions (pattern) of this model are definitely problematic. I think it is a great collection terrex. I think there is only a problem with these latest models
