[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very disappointed with my purchase, so much so I returned them the same day they were delivered. They were delivered in a box bigger than the shoe box, one shoe was out of the shoe box and banging around in the delivery box, the shoe box was damaged, tissue paper was torn and used, the shoe laces were already laced ( all the shoes I have bought in my life, never have the laces been already laced up), the shoes were dusty and the soles of the shoes had signs of wear. I didn't even try them on. In the time of COVID, you are going to send me shoes that have had other feet in them? Not happy at all, I will not be buying Adidas brand again. Photos provided.
I had misgivings about these as Adidas are notorious for inconsistent sizings so I had to go for the 11. For instance, my Sambas are a 10 but my Continental 80's are an 11. I got some of the Rain Rdy shoes in an 11 and they are fine as the mesh outer is easily worn in. However, being a Hill Walker I wanted a GoreTex shoe so I took a chance on these. Out of the box they were so stiff but after a good walk with the dog they are a bit more worn in so I am happy. I'd recommend wearing good walking socks as ordinary socks will probably cause blisters. All in all I definitely recommend these. And the colour is mint, I'm a very happy bunny indeed
I like the Design of the shoes but its not comfortable especially in asphalt rode And i used for 12 hours a day and it doesn't smell in the end of the day :) And the gtx technology is working fine
I went nuts and bought like 5 pairs of hiking/trail shoes, including Salomon X 4 Ultra mid, these Adidas in both low and mid, Keen mid, and another. After a few months trying them all out in just day to day wear or yard work, and some mild outdoor walks, these are my favorite. Summer here is hot and humid, so they can be a little warm with the Goretex, be aware. Otherwise they fit me better than Salomon, seem more durable (so far) and are extremely tough. I have total confidence on any surface my feet are protected. Your needs/use may vary, for me this is to be a tough everyday shoe. Tired of wearing out tennis shoe/running shoes.
These are absolutely mint, very comfortable and not too bad price wise and have used these multiple times however, I've only had these just over 5 months and used them a handful of time and it seems that the gore tex finish has worn off which is a bit frustrating and have been reproof but still doesn't protect very well against the rain, other than that they are a great pair of walking shoes and very stylish, the come with a continental grip which offers superb traction for those boggy days. I would recommend to anyone who is in the market for a new pair but would also suggest you go for half a size up as they are a bit narrow towards the end. 10/10
While I do really like the style and tread on these shoes, they just don't fit as nice as the last iteration of the terrex goretex hikers. The big difference is the fit out of the box, slightly more narrow and don't perfectly slip on my feet like my old ones. Another thing is that the rear loop on the back of the shoe has been made smaller and less accessible and the loop on the tongue has been completely removed, to me those were very nice features. Overall quality of the shoe for me is tbd but the laces are noticeably flimsier and flat compared to the old version, they do however seem much more water resistant/proof in terms of materials around the toe and rear of the shoe.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these shoes for my husband because he works on a golf course and needs shoes that are durable and keep his feet dry while working. So far he said that he loves them they are very comfortable. I have gotten him other shoes that say that they are waterproof and are not, but these shoes have proved to be waterproof. I did get him a half size bigger because the reviews had said to get a half size bigger. It works out for my husband because he wears thick socks for work, but if he wore regular socks then they would be too loose. So just get your normal size. Overall a 5/5 star shoe definitely worth it!
Great shoe but the sole is not up to the same standard as the uppers. The sole is completely worn and has no discernable grip after approximately 1,000 miles since I purchased the shoes in August 2022. With the soles having the Continental branding on them I would have expected the sole to last longer than a paltry 1,000 miles. Get it sorted Adidas and apply thexsame high spec to soles as you have done with the uppers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Currently using these in my walks around Hawaii, handles everything that's thrown at them and there are some pretty hard trail walks on here. As for build and comfort, they certainly stand out, found them really comfortable to climb, walk and use and an everyday pair, they also seem very well made and have taken some knocks from the lava rock out here without leaving a trace.
At first I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and comfort of the shoe. They felt solid and secure, good traction. A bit of a break in period, but I was really starting to like these shoes. Then I looked at the soles. I have had these shoes for less than 2 months. I use them just as I always use my walking shoes. And the soles are balding. The rubber wears incredibly fast. I normally get at least a year out of my walking shoes. These are shocking. They will be nearly smooth in another 2 months. Adidas has missed the mark with hiking shoe soles. If they can get that sorted, they could have a really good product. These are certainly one of the fasted wearing soles I have ever owned.
