$130 bag shows wear in a month of use

Bought this backpack for a trip to Singapore and Japan. I would say it was lightly to medium used as it was mostly city transit. I’ve had this backpack for a little over a month now and the shoulder straps are already fraying. The storage capacity is good and the pockets are convenient. I use the top pocket to store quick accessible items like chargers, wallet, passport. It holds a lot in the top pocket.

1 Year Review & Overall Impressions

I purchased the Fjällräven Ulvö 30 backpack last year, and overall, it has proven to be a reliable companion for various activities. However, there is a notable issue that I would like to highlight. Pros:** 1. **Durability:** The build quality of the Ulvö 30 is commendable durable 2. **Comfortable Wear:** The backpack offers a comfortable and adjustable fit. 3. **Ample Storage Space:** With a 30-liter capacity, the Ulvö provides sufficient room. 4. **Water-Resistant Material:** The backpack's material provides a descent level of water resistance. 5. **Well-Designed Compartments:** Thoughtful organized. Not bad Not great. *Cons:** **Style Compromise:** One significant drawback I've observed is that the Ulvö 30 loses its aesthetic appeal when the upper compartment is filled. The pressure from the contents causes the bag to compress from top to bottom, resulting in a somewhat slouched appearance.

Great Backpack

Just got this bag and have been using it for only a few days but already enjoying it!! The top of the bag is spacious with that big pocket for quick access items and then inside of the actual bag there are almost three separate compartments. There is a laptop sleeve, the general big compartment, and then one smaller one at the front that is also separated from the big one. Therefore, this allows to keep your stuff organized while also giving you a lot of space to stuff the bag. I commute a lot by bike and always like to have space in my bag for extra stuff in case I buy anything on the way home. I was able to fit a whole shoebox in here plus extra such as bike lock, and more! Overall, it's a very durable bag.

Fjallraven nailed it again

The backpack is extremely spacious and has several pockets for storing a few odds and ends. it’s impeccably streamlined and has stayed relatively clean. the side pockets are particularly impressive, they stretch, but unlike most backpacks they arent showing any signs of breakage. there’s plenty of external space for carabiners and clip on attachments. the internal side pocket can get tight, if you pack the backpack too wide. the breathability is a bit restrictive but is quickly made up for by the hardworking internal frame that can handle just about any jagged item you throw at it. it should be noted that the hip straps sit a little high (around the navel area instead of below). after a few months the shoulder straps are showing a little fraying but the external material is holding fine.

A great backpack with only one annoying flaw

This is a great rucksack because the main compartment is waterproof which is definitely an upgrade over my previous bag that was only water resistant. It feels good to wear and the material is of high quality. The zips are really sturdy and aren't over the top with loads of compartments. However, there is only one complaint I have about this bag and that is that the drink pouches on either side will not hold a full bottle in them, if you lean over your bottle will go flying. I am often cycling so whenever I reach down for something my bottle falls out, this has often caused my bottle to break so I keep having to buy new ones. If this bag were to be upgraded I would ask that you add an adjustable strap to these pouches like the one above the pouch (that a bottle does not reach) so I can secure any drink.

Great Bag

Very comfortable bag. Lots of pockets make it really practical. The straps around the waist and chest made it great for hiking but the bag is also suitable for using for over night work trips. The only downside I found was that my back got quite warm against the padding.

Straps are too thin for a 30L backpack

Bought it for a 7-day trip, the backpack did its job. One bad thing is the straps are too thin, my shoulder and back hurts after long-time carrying it. I wish I would have paid attention to this when I bought it. Conclusion: I don’t recommend.
