Love the old-school vibes, not the boxy fit
Aesthetically, I love the old school look crew look and logo, I bought the sweatshirt in the off-white color and it looks great. Functionality-wise, it runs very boxy and short, and fabric is stiff. I would have left 5 stars if it weren't for those issues. Patagonia tends to make their sweatshirts on the boxier and shorter side though, so something to keep in mind when purchasing. I'm typically an XS, purchased in size S, and it still runs short on me being 5'3 and petite.
Received with faded marks
I ordered this product online and when it arrived, I tried it on and it was a great fit so I cut the tag off. However, I didn’t notice until I wore it that the tops had faded marks along the crease line which I’m assuming happened while being on display at the store. I took it to the store to see if I could exchange it for another one but this is where my low rating comes in- the guy refused to take it back and proceeded to tell me I should take it to the Patagonia store instead. I couldn’t believe I was being denied an exchange for a damaged product that was sent to me. Anyway, proceed with caution as this sweater does fade unevenly and to always check your purchases before cutting tags.
comfy
comfy, summer sweatshirt. not fuzzy on the inside, so it can be worn on cool summer mornings or summer evenings without getting too warm. The fabric seems sturdy though i think it shrunk a bit in the dryer so keep that in mind when purchasing. Would be great at the beach because it's not the kind of fabric sand would stick to. Love the earthtones. Patagonia continues to be my favorite outdoor brand.
LOVE THIS!!!!!
Saw this in the REI store, tried it on and bought TWO. This top is so fantastic! The cotton feels so silky smooth and soft and drapes in a very flattering way. I bought the Medium and Large just for a more fitted look and an optional loose fit. For reference I'am 5ft 5" tall with a 39" bust. Ive received compliments every time I wear it. Only problem is not being able to wear it more often in the summer except for those cool summer mornings here in Colorado. Also.....I love supporting Patagonia.
Could be great
I was so excited when I found this at REI- it even has 3 colors I loved so I bought my favorite. Everything seemed great until I tried it on again a home, decided to keep it, then put a load of clean laundry away, and realized the neckhole migrated, so instead of being loose on the front, it became loose behind my neck and snug against the front. It's possible the one I got had a stitching flaw, or maybe it's typical of this style... either way that was a bummer so I returned it before even getting to wear it.
Not a good sweatshirt
I’m not sure what it is about this material, but it wrinkles so easily! I shouldn’t have to steam a sweatshirt before wearing it, but even when I do, it wrinkles again just by sitting down. It also gaps up at the collar instead of laying flat against by shoulders. I wish I could return this but I’ve already washed it.

Natural Fabric
I'm always pleased when I can find clothing items made with good old fashioned natural fabrics. While I believe this item is a bit overpriced; for me it is worth the price to know I have healthy fabrics touching my skin. This sweatshirt is comfortable, washes well, and meets my expectations. I would, however, prefer it to be a little longer. I plan on purchasing another.
