Super comfortable
Kids love these shorts. They do run slightly large (well, if your child fits squarely in the size range, they're fine, but the next size jumps, so the transitions are a little bit of a jump; drawstring does help). I have one child that is sensitive to textiles, and I practically have to pry these from her body to wash them. It's nice that they aren't too tight nor too short, so they can be worn to school.
Awesome fir backpacking
I bought these for our backpacking trip to the ocean. I wanted something light, comfortable and quick drying as my kids always play in the waves no matter how cold it is. These were amazing. They wore them under their pants and then play in them for hours. They dried up so fast there was no need to air them for the next day. My kids loved the fit and texture of them too. Definitely a great product!
Poor quality
I purchased these shorts in March. This week in the wash half of the draw string came out. It’s not one piece like you would expect. Now the shorts are completely unusable because my kids need them tied in order for them to stay up. I called REI and because I’m not a member they can’t do anything. I expected better quality.
Love these
These are fantastic. I wear them all the time. They have a liner sort of like underwear so I wear them biking with no worries and they’re really light weight and comfy. I’m 5’6” 135lbs and can wear the XL.

My daughter absolutely loves these shorts and the zipper pockets make them even better so she don't loose money and suck when being active in them.
