Decent backpack, but there is a major design flaw with the handle. Its attached to the lid of the backpack, and not the outer portion. This means that when the backpack is hung up (like at school) and then opened, the weight of the backpack makes it impossible to zip it closed without lifting the entire backpack up to relieve the tension on the zipper.
The backpack seems well made, the side mesh pockets actually fit real water bottles, and the top opens wide so its easy to see what’s inside. It’s just the right size for school age kids.
This is a great pack for travel or everyday! This pack has enough space for your necessities and a few extras. The side pockets hold just about any size hydration bottle. The clips are easy to handle and adjust. Add a carabiner and you can carry even more stuff.
I am a small-average female (5'5, 120#) with a short torso, so often find bags are too long or big for my size. While the size of this bag works for me overall, the lack of organizational pockets makes it not very practical for my needs as an adult (would probably be fine for a child who just tosses everything into one big compartment and doesn't need to find keys or pens, other small items). I prefer my classic Jansport bag, which has more organization while still being simple and a much lower price point. So, will be returning.
Good kids backpack, cool design but the griptape of the skateboard shredded the thin canvas in second so I decided to return :(
