NEMO  Dragonfly OSMO 1P Footprint

Hey it’s a footprint and it did all the footprint stuff! The size matched the tent perfectly and clipped on easily. It was also small enough that I could pack it into the tent bag so I don’t need to carry it separately. The only thing I was confused on was, in the instructions it’s written to set the footprint down with the Nemo mark facing up, but I didn’t see a Nemo mark anywhere on the footprint. Also, I think it would be nice if there were a way to tighten the clips after you attach them to the tent. I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review.

I highly recommend buying this footprint along with your Nemo Dragonfly Osmo 1P tent! The way they fit together is really smart, unlike anything I’ve seen before, where the footprint tucks so nicely under the bottom of the tent without sticking out at all and risking rain pooling on top. It’s so incredibly lightweight and fits in the tent’s original stuff sack went all packed up. I’ve always been a fan of footprints to keep my tents in cleaner and better condition over their life, but with the super lightweight material this tent is made from I’d say this is a must-purchase accessory to add another layer between the ground and the tent floor to protect it, especially for hard use. Plus an added layer of ground moisture control is always a good idea!

Great footprint, good durability. I was worried that it would not stand up to repeated use, but it is well built and particularly good for being lightweight. The fitment of the brackets on the footprint to the tent base are much better than most tents I have used. I would not recommend using the Dragonfly Tent without the footprint due to the extremely lightweight tent material. I have been very careful with where I stake that tent, even with the footprint.

If you are looking for a tent footprint for your NEMO Dragonfly 1P tent, this is it. It attaches securely to the tent, is cut to the correct size: covers the full bottom, but is not too large so that rain does pool over it. It is made of thick, durable fabric. This will definitely help to extend the life of your NEMO Dragonfly 1P tent, which uses very lightweight fabric.

I recently used the footprint on a backpacking trip to Blue Lake, Sabrina basin area of the Sierras. The ground was mostly decomposed granite/rocky surfaces. I was glad to have this to save my tent from unwanted scraping/abrasions. The footprint was easy to attach and stayed in place throughout the trip. Highly recommend as the tents are light weight, but don’t seem very durable.

Great footprint that fits the NEMO dragonfly 1p tent. Sturdy fabric. Easily clicks onto the tent. I recommend using this because the floor fabric of the tent is quite thin and would not withstand tough conditions like all the granite in the Sierra. Picture diagrams showing how to attach the footprint were kind of confusing.

Yes in theory you could make your own footprint, but this product is worth the splurge. It fits perfectly, the color-coded straps are a nice touch for easy setup, and the materials are great. Highly recommend!
