Features

  • Response A3â„¢ suspension includes a soft, precurved harness and a hipbelt with EVA foam padding that helps eliminate wrinkles and hot spots on your hips and shoulders

  • Back panel delivers excellent airflow and moisture management while keeping the pack very close to your back for energy savings when carrying heavier loads

Good solid pack for the non-ultralight folks

I've used my pack on a few trips, and so far it has been comfortable. Weight transfer is easy, and it's good with significant weight (limited to 50lb, I have carried close to that.) The exterior pockets and pole carriers are a bonus for me, I often want pack access while on the trail. I do have some reservations about zipper strength, but I have had absolutely no issues with them as of yet.

Bad chest strap design

I liked everything about this pack and as a size large the ample space of 70L for the weight was pretty good. Unfortunately, day 2 and 20+ miles into the Colorado Trail the chest strap broke. It made for an uncomfortable hike hauling a lot of weight and I have since returned it.

Get this older model, save $ w/ extra accessories

5 stars after actual use, but high quality, well thought out, great to have rain cover/summit back pack w/ H2O mounting options, not as light as I’d want, but great comfort/fit. Side water pocket for Nalgene bottles, Supportive Belt w/ pockets on both sides for hiking snacks/quick access items, Great access on top & zip front. Really looking to loading this thing up properly & give it some field time!! Too bad Gregory got rid of the 2 accessories & raised their price for the new model.
