Disappointing Quality: Swix Focus Ski Pole Failed
After many years away, we decided to pick up cross-country skiing again, but my experience with the Swix Focus Nordic Cross-Country Ski Poles was a major letdown. Within the first minute of use, I fell and accidentally put all my weight on one of the poles (without stepping on it during the fall). To my shock, the pole bent in half instantly! I can't remember aluminum poles being this fragile in the past. It literally failed within seconds. Needless to say, I had to shell out for a replacement set. Extremely disappointing for such a trusted brand.
Good Basic Pole
Nice basic nordic ski pole. Comfortable handles and good baskets.
Fine and cheap, but heavy
I finally got separate poles for skating (after using my classic poles last winter). I went with these because of the price. The first time I used them, my hands hurt from how heavy they were. I'm getting used to them, but you may want to pick them up for feel before committing.
Great spare ski poles.

REI cancelled the order
I placed an order on 2/26/26 for these cross-country ski poles that were in stock, but then received an email on 2/28/26 notifying me of the cancellation of the order due to them being out of stock.

Just fine and the same size I've always used. Nice upgrade to 30y.o. equipment.

These poles are fine. But they were the wrong size for me, so I returned them.
