Sizing Notes
Please note, this sizing chart is meant to serve only as a guideline.
Sizing downhill poles: Stand in your ski boots on a level floor. With your poles upside down—grips touching the floor—grab the pole beneath the basket so that the top of your thumb touches the basket. Your elbow should now be at a 90-degree angle. If the angle is less than 90 degrees, get a shorter pole. If the angle is greater, get a longer pole.
Sizing XC poles: Stand in your XC ski boots on a level floor. Place the pole tips on the floor next to your feet. The top of the grips should reach your arm pits.
Sizing skate poles: Stand in your skate boots on a level floor. Place pole tips on the ground with the pole shafts perpendicular to the floor. The poles should reach from the ground up to a point somewhere between your chin and your lips.

Love Everything About These Sticks!!
I upgraded from my previous poles that were about 10 years old. My old poles were good, but the grips and straps needed replacing so I thought I’d try something new instead. Everything about these Leki poles has made for a pleasant and improved experience. My old poles had straps came out and over the head of the grip which meant that it pinched my hand when tight. If adjusted loose, I found myself searching for the right hand hold when preparing to push off again. These Leki poles have the strap connection point in the ideal location so the tension is inside the palm of the hand instead of over the top of it - pinching problem gone! I also love the quick release option. I skijor with my GSP, and being able to stop and quickly release my hands from the poles to pick up a potty, and then quickly reattach to the poles and get skiing again is super convenient. These two features - point of connection for the straps to the the poles, and quick release - are my favorite features, but I also love that they are super light, and the ferrule is also at an improved angle compared to my old skis so has to provide a longer push off energy transfer (my old poles had a ferrule that was straight in line with the pole). So happy that I replaced my old poles instead of trying to continue to make do or replace components. Leki has earned themselves a new lifelong customer!
