You’ll ride more when it doesn’t hurt

This seatpost is a game changer in absorbing the bumps in the road. I’m noticing a significant difference that definitely mean I’ll be doing a lot more riding. It is expensive, but it looks to be beautifully engineered. You can see the quality. It has precise markings that allow for incremental adjustments in setting one’s seat height and how much “give” you want on your ride. I thought the instructions were straightforward. I did attach the seat loosely to the post before I reinserted the post on the bike and then fine-tuned adjustments from there. As much as it costs it is, nonetheless, an outstanding value.

So Good!

This thing takes all the small bumps out of your riding. I use it on my gravel bike and i'll never go back. Since the seatpost is the only thing that moves you don't lose power on your pedaling through bumps. Its a game changer.

Works As Advertised!

As an older cyclist I had been researching suspension seatposts for my bicycle. The RedShift ShockStop Suspension seatpost was highly rated by nearly every video and cycling site that I viewed so I purchase one from REI. After a few adjustments on the internal spring I have it dialed in and I’m very satisfied with my purchase. It definitely makes the ride on my 25 year old road bike much more comfortable.

#1 Bike accessory

I ride my Dr. Dew on city roads, which are bumpy as you know. This REALLY smooths out the ride. It makes me like my bike more and thus I get out more. Totally worth it.

Definite Improvement

At first I was disappointed in the seat post until I realized that my butt and back weren't bothering me any more. Game changer. I use it on the street with tar snakes and frost heaves. I have the preload adjusted on the light side but not bouncy.
