Runs Small, On the Thicker Side
I own many fleeces, from the North Face to target…I have mixed feelings about Patagonia’s Better Sweater. It’s slightly thicker than I would like. It’s not very soft either. I’m 5’6, 125 lbs, 32C. There’s little extra room for me (I bought S). Usually size small top would look slighter looser on me. I got it on sale, so I keep it but I don’t think it’s an item that I’m willing to pay full price for.
Cute but tiny
Seems like good quality but runs super small. I can sometimes wear a small. I ordered this in a medium so I could wear a tshirt under it. It is so snug that I had to have my husband get it off. I wanted to exchange it for a larger size but couldn’t figure out how to without paying shipping 2 more times so just returned it.
1/4 Zip way too tight in bust & arm area
I bought the medium and had to return because I barely got the sweater on and had significant trouble trying to get it back off over my head. The large was easier to get off but looked so bulky on me. Had to return both. I ended up buying the full-zip in Medium which works, but the arms/underarm area is much tighter than I prefer. I am 5'7 145 pounds, 34B.
Don't size down!
Great sweater. Got the beige oyster color. Very nice neutral beige with no yellow undertones. If you want it to fit like it's supposed to for warmth and a non-bulky layer, go with your usual Patagonia size. I sized up as some recommended and the M was huge on me (5'1", 115 lbs). Returned for a S which was perfect. Nice layer for hiking and camping, but still looks nice to wear outside of those situations.
Nice but..
Comfortable but it runs smaller than sizing specified. I ordered small which is my normal size and it fits just right with not much room. If you want it roomier should size up. Wish there were pockets, keep looking for the pockets while I have it on. Can’t really wear as layer for that matter.
Disappointed
Ordered my normal size. The medium ran so small, I returned the item.
Really warm, great quality
Really warm. I get cold easily and wanted something to prevent that. I usually layer, but with this, I don't need layers. Even in snow I only need something on top sometimes. I am usually a M but got a L and that fit really well. It is quite snug.
Seems wonderful but sizing off
Wife really liked but size mis-labeled. She would wear medium normally but she was not strong enough to stretch the fabric to get either medium or large over her head. I would buy again but only if in-store so she can try first to find one that is really medium. I returned both sizes.
Great feel but runs small
Ordered a size "M" for my daughter and it was too snug. Reordered a size Large because she loved the color and warm feel. I recommend but size up.
Great fleece
This fleece is so cozy. I went up a size so that I could layer. I love the cream color. The sleeves are a little long on me but I'm petite. I have only had it for a month so I'm not sure about wear and tear.
