Toe lace locking up

As mentioned here a few times, I have now had 2 pairs of these boots (first pair replaced on warranty) and I have had the same problem on both pairs. After a few days use the lacing over the toes locks and I have had to use a pair of pliers to get the boot off. Boot is comfortable and I like riding with them, however not useable when you cannot take them off! The retail outlet I have used have been very helpful and will issue a credit note for some other boots.

Do Not Buy These Boots - Faulty.

Like a few other people on here I have had issues with the Boa on both boots within 7 days. This looks like its a manufacturing issue on the lower M3-TX3 BOA as it gets stuck and and fixing it with the spares with BOA is not an option as something in the boot itself is broken. I have been in contact with Salomon support and they are not interested. I don't know what's happened to Salomon over the last 5-10 years but their gear is becoming a liability.

Run small, no exchange

I've been riding in Salomon boots for at least 12-15 years normally have to get a new pair every year as I ride a lot. Synapse was my go to in Size 8. They discontinued the Synapse and now have these. Ordered the size 8 I normally get and they are too small and not going to work. Seems to run a 1/2 size smaller. Sadly they won't exchange them for an 8.5 , never used, still have tags. Suppose I will be selling these and going with a different brand. :(

Solid comfy boot and fairly stiff.

So far so good. The duel boa hasn't locked up like some have reported. Toss the insoles, they are garbage...toe box is a little bigger then other Salomon I've ridden. After six days on them, I feel like my heels had too much lift so I added a couple of pads to the rear heel on my liners and now my boot fits great. I loved my Low Fi's but the plastic high back was a killer on my heel and had to get something else. I really like them so far and hope they hold up. Boots seem to vary year to year. My favorite all time Salomon was the F150 pro made in Italy. That boot lasted over 200 days and still had life in them when I sold them .. the worst..a pair of old school Dialogues that I songster broke my ankle on cause they were so soft. All in all, try the boot on and off it fits great then you'll love em. The flex is stiff enough to ride all day all mtn and not have tired feet.. a long as you have a good liner.

New liner lacing system sucks

The overall quality is there but none of that matter when the ankle/heel hold isn't there. I've had 6+ pairs of Salomon boots and the 2022-23 boots all have this new system around the liner that simply doesn't work. If it was attatched to the liner, I'd just replace that but its part of the shell. Lame, please go back to the R&D or just use the older system

BOA lasted 3 days.

Only lasted for 3 or 4 days. Side BOA got stuck and had to cut to get it off. Tried replacing it with the warranty kit from the BOA page and the cord does not go through, hinting at something broken inside. Also there's not way to open them. Waste of money and season.

Great boot until Boa stopped working

Really liked the boot until the lower Boa system locked up. This happened to both boots after half a season of riding. Would expect to see better quality from a boot of this price point. I hope the issue can be fixed as they overwise performed well.

Looks good but sizes small

Great looking boots and comfy but seem to size up a half size small. Ordered my usual size as per a couple of previous pairs of boots but I can feel my toe rubbing on the front of the liner. Gutted as now I can’t find my size in stock!

Great fitting freeride boots

Ridden a loooong time, and owned a lot of high end all mtn/freeride boots. Really like the liner and outsole. One suggestion would be to include the Straight Jacket feature as in the lace model, but an otherwise great boot.

I've had a pair of snowboard boots for 10 years so I decided to upgrade to the Salomon echo dual boa. They look fantastic and they feel fantastic. I'm excited to get out on the mountain with them
