Works great until it doesn’t
Dropper worked great for awhile. Easy to service and worked as expected until about the one year mark. Dropper won’t stay in the up or down position unless you hold it in that position for 3+ seconds. Changed the cable housing and bought a replacement cartridge and still no luck. Reached out to the SDG customer service, they emailed me back once then crickets. I replaced this dropper with a PNW and couldn’t be happier. It was much cheaper too.
They don’t stand behind their products
3 months of riding. About 100 miles or so. Dropper stopped moving up and down. Completely stuck. Forest rd riding only. My thought is the key ways slipped and locked it in place. SDG will not warranty. They don’t stand behind their product. Shelling out even more money for a new one. Going with PNW. Even shop said the product isn’t good and their warranty sucks.
Have two of these, great in all conditions
I bought one of these dropper posts for my full sus MTB and it has worked flawlessly since day 1, so I bought a second one for my fatbike. Both have worked without issue from 0 degrees F in the snow, to 100+ degrees in the dry dry dust. I live in Minnesota and so we experience a wide breadth of temperatures and precipitation, This post has worked through them all!
