Sizing if off
I have always loved Smartwool socks and I have never had a sizing issue before but these just do not fit correctly. I wear a size 7.5 shoe which the size chart says is a medium. if I putt them tight at the toes, I end up with at least an inch of heel hanging loose. If I don't pull them tight, they bunch up under the sole of my foot. I cannot wear these hiking socks in my hiking boots at all. Not sure where the discrepancy is but I'm going to have to return them.
Disappointing quality and fit
I bought two pairs in my usual size Medium. One pair had a hole at the toe box seam. When I tried on the other pair, the toe box was so wide and bulky that my feet did not fit into my shoes. Returned both.
Most comfortable ever!
The REI rep recommended these for hiking and they have won me over to wool socks! They're more comfortable than cotton and keep their shape even when worn multiple times between washings on a trip.
Amazing Socks!!
They were a Hiking game changer. My feet were so much more comfortable in my hiking boots then with the socks I was wearing. I couldn’t believe that they made such a difference! Buy them!

Fit a bit bigger than other smartwool medium size socks, but nice.
Fits a slim foot
Fits my slim foot and hugs my toes. Just today I was putting my socks on in camp, and had to say out loud I love my socks. I wear this particular sock in every cuff length. I might wear something cheaper around the house, but I only trust these on trail or in the gym, anywhere I walk. They wear well, I don’t treat them like slippers, I don’t dry them.
Great socks for trails
Smartwool is the best material to keep your feet warm and even when wet, I have been buying these socks for many years now. I am an A.T. Section hiker and these are must haves for the trail. Never have gotten a blister on wearing smart wool socks or cold feet for long! If you re going to be out there have a pair of these in or with you!
high quality and durable
I wore these socks for 40 days hiking the Camino de Santiago and I am going to wear them in my next 35 day Camino this year…plus training! They’ve held up beautifully and I expect they might make it through a few hikes, too! I’ll repurchase if they ever finally wear out.
