Neat product, some minor tweaks make it better

Thought this was a bit silly at first, but decided to grab it anyway, It turns out to be incredibly nice to have a little sink setup for washing hands, dishes, getting water, etc. The light is a nice touch at night. We tried to use it with a camp kitchen shelf and found that the vertical connection would not fit, also the water line is pretty darned short. It also took us entirely too long to figure out that it was a double-tap to turn it on. I ordered a 90 degree quick disconnect from Mcmaster, part #5923K81 along with 10' of tubing part #3142K14 and now we have a setup that fits entirely on our table and has a bit more slack in the cord.

It’s 2022 this should have USB-C charging port. Especially for the premium Dometic is charging for it.

Great Faucet for Car Camping

This is a great tool for car camping. I recently used this on a five day trip into Canyonlands National Park. Battery life seems to be really good, I charged it once before the trip and once halfway through the trip (it never had a battery issue). I stuck an extra adhesive backed phone mount to each of my 5 gallon jerrycans to secure the Dometic faucet. Any adhesive backed thin piece of steel will work to keep the faucet from falling off of the plastic jerrycans. I set the jerrycan on a table without any issues.

This thing is fantastic

Just used the Dometic GO faucet on its maiden camping voyage. Entire family loved it. Certainly feels like a little bit of luxury while camping and it made it extremely easy to fill pots, Jetboils, water bottles, wash hands, wash dishes, and fill the dog water bowl. While making things a little more convenient at the camp site, it's also just fun and cool. I also love how lightweight it is, how doesn't take up much space, and takes about 20 seconds to set-up. The one miss is the hose length, no clue why Dometic didn't make it about 2 feet longer -t hat being said in my 6 gallon jerry can but I see it being an issue down the road. Will likely make an extension of some sort. Like it so much jus ordered another one as a gift for a family member.

So Far So Good

I recently purchased the Dometic GO Hydration water Faucet. We hope to use it in multiple applications: Car camping, multiday river trips, and in our fire lookout tower. We also purchased the matching Dometic water container. So far, have only set it up and tested it at home. It worked quite well once set up correctly, but getting there was challenging the first time around. Instructions for charging and the on-off switch were too ambiguous to help. YouTube to the rescue, and all was well. This will make our camping life significantly more comfortable. Wish it had better charging indicator lights, and that it had a USB-c charging port rather than the micro USB it comes with.

Expensive but exactly what I wanted.

I waited for a sale because I hated spending full price, but it's the perfect piece for my setup. The tube it comes with feels very short, about 30" long, BUT it has a quick connect coupling on the end. I'm assuming it clicks into the Dometic water jug. I ordered a Gregory quick disconnect, installed it on my 5gal scepter jug, added another hose inside the jug, and I love it. It lets me quickly remove and refill the water jug without having to remove the faucet from my mounting position. Love it for my car camping/road trip. The double tap to turn on is a bit odd.

expensive game changer

Using this in my RV so I know I have clean, fresh water at all times. As others have said, the extension hose is too short. I found commercial grade hose used for brewing on a******to to make a longer hose so that I can have a clean water tap for my sink. Dometic should sell extention tubing. The other magnet I've put on top so I can use it outside. Would have preferred a hand pump for a fraction of the price. For those that say it pumps too slowly, make sure to open the vent so it's not trying to pump a vacuum.

Pricey but worth it

This has been a game changer in camp, saving me from having to manage and tip heavy 5-gal water jugs to pour. It also makes handwashing easy enough to encourage everyone to be more hygienic. The charge lasts 3-4 days in camp and I bought a longer food grade hose for more versatility. It works great with the variety of jugs that I own. It can be fussy to start up. I find running my thumb over the blue spot seems to be the right pressure, as opposed to my pointer fingertip. Also, the flow is on the slow side but that’s completely offset by the convenience of this sweet little thing.

poP, capital P

Super disappointed. I use this style of pump in my van. I have been through a half dozen of the cheap versions from Amazon. I was tired of those dying all the time so I hesitantly dropped $100 dollars on this. It's the same poP as the cheapos. The button was super temperamental. I counted 13 pushes one time before it started pumping. It was probably an 8 to 1 button push to actually working ratio. Thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt considering it was $100 and exchange for another unit. Pulled that one out of the box before I got to the van and it did the same thing. When it did work the stream was worse than most of the cheapos. Can't believe they are charging $100 for this. Amazon units are 1/6 the price and same quality.

Incredibly Low Quality for the Price

Been using this water system for a month now camping. The on/off button does not work at all if it or your hands are wet, so pretty much all the time. The light won't turn off so the battery life is now 10 times worse than when I first started using it. The plastic tube is barely long enough to reach the ground, it should be much longer. A 25 dollar plastic jug with a adjustable nozzle is better and doesn't cost the ridiculous price of 170 dollars. Also, using micro usb instead of usb-c is one of the most foolish decisions I have ever seen.

MVP of our latest adventure

Getting this was entirely unexpected, but probably the best impulse purchase of all my camping gear. It started when I ran into the Dometic GO Jug in-store. It seemed overpriced for what it was (an 11L jug of water). But the last trip proved that I needed a superior solution to our blue Reliance water jug with a spigot that's near-impossible for anyone other than myself to turn. I decided the GO Jug — with its easy-turn spigot — would fit the bill. But the display sign mentioned the faucet, which piqued my interest. I watched the overview video on the Dometic website and was intrigued. Unfortunately, at the time (only a week ago from writing this review) REI wasn't even selling the faucet. So, I ordered it direct from Dometic. I'm not going to lie, when it came in, I had a bit of buyer's remorse. Did I REALLY need this (collectively) ~$170 water system? Certainly a jug with an easier to turn spigot would have sufficed. But let me tell you folks, this combo became the MVP of our latest adventure. The ease with which it operates skyrocketed it to our top spot on the trip. Everything became that much more effortless. My wife admitted that on the previous trip she simply would forgo drinking water or washing her hands for longer periods because of how much of a hassle it was to get water. And the kids loved to use it. I personally loved that it let me relegate the jug to the floor, while the faucet lived on the picnic tabletop, freeing up valuable space. Our Reliance water jug now stays in the car and acts as a reservoir when the Dometic Jug runs out. I think the one thing I'd have changed, however, is some kind of removable option for the metal mounting plate. I have a picnic table cover, and ended up sticking it to that. But if you're on a bare picnic table (or simply don't want to permanently stick the mounting plate to your cover) it would have been nice to have a removable option. That's annoying. It is without a doubt a luxury item, but my god it makes life so much easier. But also, it's just freaking cool. If you're like me, and part of the enjoyment of going on these adventures is researching and buying gear, then you're going to LOVE this. Especially if you're camping with a family/friends.
