Excellent Backcountry Choice

These bibs are fantastic. I had the original version of the hemispheres bib and it held up for several years. I replaced them this year and OR made some fantastic changes! What I love: very sturdy fabric that is waterproof and breathable, shoulder straps have a well-placed buckle that is lightweight and doesn't interfere with pack straps, the fit is great with room for layers and movement, there are great pockets and the top zippered pocket has a little retainer for your keys, designated beacon pocket, reinforced instep, and generously sized leg openings to fit a variety of boots. I can't think of anything that I would change about these bibs! Glad to have them! Thanks for making such a great product, OR!

My favorite ski bib

I am an OR snow athlete ambassador and I helped with the original design of this bib, as well as this new updated version. I had a chance to wear this all of last year as a sample, and now I have the new kit as well. I can honestly say both the hemisphere bib and jacket are my go to backcountry skiing and skiing outfit. Style, function, and fit all in one package. And this truly is a technical piece, made to hold up to the biggest snow storm. The pockets are deliberate and just where you need them. I love the option to have a beacon in the chest pocket or thigh pocket. Also, it's so easy to go pee with the side zip, its half the exposure of some of the other bibs out there! Highly recommend!

5 Stars for fit and durability

I found these a little long given I needed a XL but the adjustable straps allowed me to find a good fit for downhill skiing and uphill travel. The stretch panels have been great for allowing the space I need to move. I expect they will hold up well over time but will have to go outside and see!

Ripped after only 3-4 wears

I was so excited to get the bib and matching jacket for this ski season but was disappointed when, after only 3-4 uses (skiing only on resort, mind you), I found a rip on the pocket of the leg. The cuffs are already seeing significant wear and tear, and I worry they will rip soon too. The material seems so flimsy for Gore-tex pro, I'm scared to use these in the backcountry for fear of more rips. FYI I have gotten 3 seasons out of my North Face bib and Acteryx jacket without a single fabric issue like this.

great design and materials

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I really wanted to love these pants having had them recommended to me. I loved the colour and fabric with the design including the stretchy panels. However, being tall (especially in the body) I found these to be too short for comfortable movement even having sized up.

Boxy torso fit

I love the blue color, but the fit in the torso was very boxy and not the right fit for me. Need to go up in size for bibs because I am tall
