Salomon  Bonatti Waterproof Jacket - Men's

I purchased this jacket for my trip to Germany as an emergency rain coat that could be packed in my bag without taking too much space while also being fashionable. I was glad I brought it! The rain was heavy but it kept my entire upper body dry. During both bike rides and hikes in the rain, this jacket held up well. Many waterproof shells sound like trash bags when you move around, but the Bonatti does not which was a huge plus!

Love the colorway, and it's genuinely waterproof. I've taken it on a couple of runs now and it's held up well in the rain. The lightweight fabric and how compactly it packs away are also huge pluses; it disappears into a bag when you don't need it. Breathability is the one area that's fallen short of my expectations, though I'll admit that's a tough ask: waterproof, breathable, light, and easy to move in while running is a hard combination to nail. I'm also not ready to fully judge this yet, since my first runs were in a thick cotton base layer, which probably didn't help. Planning to retest with better layering before I finalize my take. This is a highly light weight, packable, water proof jacket that is perfect to throw into a travel bag.
