PackTowl  Luxe Hand Towel

We have other, lighter pack towels for backpacking. Bought these for ski camping trips in our travel trailer because they'd dry fast but be softer/nicer than typical pack towels. We bought 4 luxe towels (2 face, 2 body). While they are softer/nicer, none of the snaps work properly right out of the package. One of the snap tags ripped off on my wife's first use (and she's very careful with gear). With only two ""parts,"" to a non-technical piece of ""gear,"" it's a poor reflection of quality when 50% of the product is immediately dis-functional.

I got the beach size and it's a great size for laying down on while still packing up tiny into the provided pouch. I used it at the park which had pretty dried-up grass, and unfortunately the microfiber material picked up all the tiny twigs and grass stems and they didn't shake out. I washed and dried it several times and even went over it with a rubber pet brush, but it's still got little bits all over it. so be warned, this would probably be a great towel for indoors or the beach, but I wouldn't use it for grassy areas or camping.

Purchased the beach size for use when swimming. Overall very happy. Dries relatively quickly but really absorbs. Isn't uncomfortable when drying. Some pack/camp towels don't slide over the skin when drying. It's more like your dabbing yourself dry. This feels like you would when you're at home. Beach size packs to the size of a pair of cargo pants after unpackaging and use. The edging needs to be improved. The material stretches beyond the stitching. First time I used it I popped a bunch of threads. Haven't noticed any fraying yet.

This towel is soft like a regular towel but acts like a traditional microfiber towel. I find the length to be adequate, my fiancee does not, and the width is a bit narrow in comparison. So it would be better if it were a bit wider imo. You have to pat dry like with a traditional microfiber towel, but it doesn't stick to you like traditional microfiber. I love these towels and would definitely purchase again. Just wish they had the color in stock that I really wanted when we placed our order.

We have used PackTowl as part of our normal gear on backpacking trips and they perform very well. I like them so much I have started using them as guest hand towels in our powder room. They take up minimal space so I use a hook instead of a towel bar. We are redoing our masterbath and my recent purchase will be used as handtowels there. The tab on the towel allows for a simple hook for hanging saving needed wall space.

Took it on a trip to Alaska and the Philippines. Mixed camping and hotel stays. Dried fast when I was camping. Seemed to dry in just a few hours just laying out in the car as I drove along. I'm tall so the big beach towel suits me well. Photos of the colors are a little off from what it looks like in person but I wasn't terribly disappointed.

I bought the towels before going away in our campervan for a 3 month trip around Europe . 3 weeks into our trip even though we wash the towels in a washing machine once a week and after each use dry them in the open air I find that they have a very unpleasant smell. I am very disappointed with my purchase.

While the luxe towels are soft, there is not much else that makes them enjoyable to use. They are in fact frustrating to use because the material sticks to your wet body, so you can't slide it to dry yourself. Instead, as you try to slide it, it rolls and bunches up. The Original PackTowls are much nicer.

I loved these until I made the mistake of spreading one out on the grass. They pick up every tiny blade of dried grass and the million pieces are impossible to get out: not in the dryer, not in the wash. One of my towels is basically garbage. So: fine for the beach or pool but not suitable for camping.

This towel feels great, absorbs lots of water, and is perfect for packing to work for post exercise showers. I couldn't get it to smell, but decided to wash it anyway. No pilling or excessive color loss. Great product, I highly recommend for all of your towel needs!
