It was a pleasure evaluating Gregory's Rhune backpack. I am a heavy user of work-related backpacks, and use it to carry my laptop, adapter, mouse, planner, notebooks, and an assortment of accessories. My previous backpack was made by Ogio. I liked the features, comfort, and functionality of the Ogio, but I have to say, the Rhune backpack is even better. The features I really like are: Great zippers that are easy to locate and use; The front pocket with the vertical zipper is awesome - allowing me to quickly access items; The overall space is perfect for my needs; The small pocket on the left shoulder strap fits my Airpods perfectly; The handle on top is very functional; The padded back is just awesome, and super comfortable; The top zipper pocket for my glasses is easy to access, and protects my glasses, having plenty of room for a slightly larger sunglasses case; The "suspension" capability in the large compartment protects my laptop from hitting the ground when I set it down; The chest strap that connects the shoulder straps is the bomb! I really like that; And the lifetime warrantee by Gregory really emphasizes their confidence in the products they sell. There are a couple of features that I thought I'd suggest for future development considerations: 1.) Even though the back pocket is suspended, protecting my laptop from hitting the ground, you may want to consider padding the bottom of the pack. Perhaps use the same material that you used for padding the back of the pack, which would do the trick. 2.) Expand the water-bottle holder slightly, to accommodate larger bottles. My go-to bottle wont fit, but just by a little bit. Awesome job, Gregory! I have one of your 65L backpacks as well, which I absolutely love, and look forward to purchasing other products, as I have quickly become a huge fan!
Excellent well-fitting backpack that is probably better suited for office and school use than it is as a hiking or outdoor backpack, though it serves both functions well. It has four zippered compartments: 1) external posterior, when opened (see picture) contains two netted pockets for storing smaller items and a lightweight outerwear jacket; 2) a side entrance where you could put smaller items (such as powerchord and block for a laptop); 3) a top accessed smaller Tech-like pocket; 4) main compartment access. It also contains a small pocket on the right shoulder strap, and a water bottle pouch. The backpack's interior is well designed and compartmentalized. The main compartment is divided into two separate spaces, and my Macbook Pro 15" slid easily into one of them, and I fit a 12" Ipad Pro into the other section easily, and that would leave room for books. The pack itself is lighter than other backpacks I've used, so even with the Ipad Pro and Macbook Pro in there, it did not feel too heavy. There is also a zippered netted pocket in the main compartment to keep track of small things, as well as slots for two pens or pencils or regular-sized Sharpies. Those two slots are too small for highlighters or thicker markers. The pack sits nicely on the back, doesn't get too hot during hikes, and adjusts fairly easily. The Gregory stock picture shows the pack completely full as if it is full of items you would take on a long day hike. You can use this pack day hiking, but to me, it's more immediately obvious use - due to the main compartment's interior - seems to be a computer or office backpack. It would also be a great backpack for biking to work, and for motorcycling.
I've had my backpack for a couple weeks, and I'm obsessed! I've predominately used it for work, and it's amazing! The quality of everything, down to the zipper and zipper pulls, is incredible. The organization of the interior (and exterior pockets) is so thoughtful and useful. One of the best parts is that it fits my heavy 16" laptop perfectly, and it doesn't feel heavy when carrying it (unlike most other backpacks). I also love the fact that my purse, which isn't small, fits in the main pocket with my laptop, charger, and other things (see picture) and still doesn't even look or feel bulky at all. You can't go wrong with this purchase - you'll love it! I added pictures in two different lightings which is why the bag looks like a slightly different color in each - the color of the one on the chair is most accurate. I LOVE my matte navy color!
Review Title: Amazing! Great backpack 5-Stars Draft: This backpack is amazing. It has multiple pockets, and the main compartment has two slots to hold folders and computers, which is great. The rest of the space is big enough to hold whatever else I need, like my lunch. The water bottle slot on the side is actually really good, and it holds it in place properly unlike other backpacks where it leans and falls off the backpack even if it’s only slightly tilted.  The smaller compartments on the back are great for holding the smaller extra things you bring to wherever you go. The straps feel really comfortable, and it’s light, so it doesn’t hurt! The only 2 downsides to every backpack is gone, just like that. Review Title: Amazing! I used this backpack going to work one day then went on our boat then hiking and kayaking. The size was perfect for a daily hike. I loved the pockets and sage padded sleeve for my iPad. The water bottle holder was plenty deep enough for my insulated water bottle to fit without falling out. About the only thing missing is a small slit at the top so my water bladder tubing could come out of the backpack. I like to use a water bladder for longer hikes.
I've used this backpack so much since I've gotten it! I used it at the farmers market for things that don’t get squashed like bread and bottles of jam, etc, put my debit card in the stash pocket on the side so I could easily access it, and I put my reusable market bags in the front verticle zippered pocket so while I was wearing the pack on my back my daughter could easily pull one out when I needed one. I've used it for work to go to meetings with my laptop and portfolio folder in the main pocket with pens, hand sanitizer, sunglasses, and added my wallet in the top pocket. I've also just used it as a general purse when I'm running around doing errands because it perfectly fits the organizer that I use for my purses (it holds everything I need daily and I just move it from purse to purse). I can't wait to use it as my carry-on bag for overseas travel. I love the feel of the fabric and the fact that it incorporates recycled materials, the beautiful but subtle blue color, the strong zippers, and the adjustable sternum strap.
Took this pack as a day/essential backpack in the Adirondacks hiking, camping, hammocking and hanging lakeside. I hate backpacks without pockets because everything ends up at the bottom, this was PERFECT for me. Durable, stuffable and sleek! Never had to empty it looking for my keys, my book stayed unharmed in the laptop sleep and side pocket fit my phone for easy access on the trail.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I’m a professional who commutes to the office everyday and I needed a study classy pack. It’s a smaller pack, but it fits all my electronics plus enough room for a change of workout clothes and tennis shoes. Very happy with this pack. Also, the inside is as stylish as the outside.
This bag has been such a nice and unexpected treat! I wanted something smaller and convenient for work trips but still capable of holding what I needed for work with personal additions. I could comfortably fit my laptop, keyboard, mouse, notebook, glasses, and Nintendo Switch in its case into the main compartment with room left. I was then able to add my wallet, sunglasses, headphones, and some other items in the top pocket, with plenty of room in the front-facing compartment for quick-grab items like a bigger wallet, pens, gum, hand sanitizer, etc. Even with all of that, there's still a water bottle pocket (which works great), a small strap pocket for something like chapstick, and a side compartment zipper for keys. Honestly really impressed and have enjoyed using this bag so far. Looks sleek, too!
This is an overall great bag. Size: Its a little large for a day hike bag for me, but great for an everyday bag. I also used it as an airplane carryon during vacation and loved how I was able to get everything I needed in it with plenty of room to spare for souvenirs. Weight: Much lighter than my previous day bag - this has become my new go to bag. Material: Strong, yet lightweight. Does not snag easily. Bag panel and arm straps are breathable which was great in the hot weather. Zipper handles are super sturdy. Design: Loved all the pockets and compartments. The go-to item compartment at the top is larger than in most bags which I really liked. The water bottle compartment is fine for a regular sized bottle but would be very tight with an oversized bottle. Criticisms: Would prefer if the bottom had some padding. And perhaps a few areas to add carabiners. Overall: This is a great everyday bag and will be my go-to from now on. The quality is so good that I would definitely consider getting the larger Gregory pack for overnight hikes.
