Bought these for skiing and they worked really well. Typically wear gloves with liners but my fingers would still get really cold. Didn't need to wear liners with these, even when it was 30 degrees and snowing. Like the leashes and I typically take them on/off to check my phone/take pictures or video. Would be cool if they had the zipper so as not to have to take them completely off. They were slightly bulky when trying to put them through the pole loop but manageable. Would be nice to have something softer on the back of the glove to wipe your nose (it happens to all of us). The thumb to wipe your goggles came in handy on the day it snowed.
Not warm enough even though they're rated "warmer"
I loved most everything about these except that they weren't warm enough. They're rated as warmer and from the looks of them, they should be wore warm. However, I was hoping to find a replacement for my current mittens that I didn't think were warm enough and it turned out that my current were exactly the same warmth-wise. But my current ones were literally HALF the size of the Montana Ski Mitts and fit into my pockets. I did like the thumb touch screen ability and it worked even better than using my own thumb. I returned these because they were pricey and not any better than what I had.
Warm and comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They run quite big, I have big hands and the small fits good, but other than that they are really warm and comfortable, I like that you can tighten it on the wrist and where the arm goes so no snow comes inside. I'm happy with this purchase
My hands are actually warm
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I struggle with my fingers freezing when I ski. I tried these mitts and they are a game changer! No more cold hands and the lining is so cozy. Love the band that goes around my wrist for easy on/off without losing a glove.
Falling apart after first use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Today I went with the kids sledding, I did not sled. I simply took gloves off for pictures, and carried around plastic light weight sleds, outside for about 4 hours. Gloves falling apart already!
Warm and Dry!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went skiing for the first time and bought these as my first pair of snow gloves. I skied for about 3 hours and fell multiple times causing me to get snow everywhere. I've picked myself up so many times thinking they'd get drenched at some point, but they never did. They were as warm as they can get and definitely regulated well from inside. Even when I removed my glove and placed it back on, my hands warmed up immediately. I am so glad I had chosen these. I have small hands and wore an XS. When I wore them, I also had acrylics on and they were still comfortable.
Not warm enough for skiing in Alaska
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in Anchorage, AK and have skied in 6 degree Fahrenheit and 30 degree Fahrenheit, and my thumbs were really cold both times... They are comfortable, but I think the size small is still a bit too big (and I actually have large hands for a woman). Because they're too big, air comes into the mittens and causes your hands to get cold. I like the Etip, and how easy it is to tighten the draw string cord, and the Velcro wrist strap.
awesome gloves
Love these gloves. I recently wore them for a weekend skiing in Vermont and they were great. I love the longer length and loops to keep them in place so I don't worry about dropping them on the chair lift if I take them off to get something out of my pocket. Kept me warm with hot hands warmers for hours in 10 degree weather skiing. Definitely recommend
Dynamite
These. Are. Dynamite. Super comfortable , reeeeaaally warm and durable material (a tough fabric that can handle the manipulation of winter gear - skis, splitboard, back pack, slide, poles, branches, etc.). The short elastic band for the wrist is perfect to keep the mits close when you need to remove them. Ideal for very cold and windy weather.
Perfect for cold and snow
I bought these for a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in March (temps 10-40 degrees, snowy). They kept my hands warm and dry! Even after my hands were cold and starting to tingle, putting on the mittens warmed them up to a normal temperature. Love the wrist straps and extra little loop that helps you pull them on.
