Same vuori hoodie just less pockets

I have a couple of the older model of this hoodie, and they are so soft and look so nice. I got the same size I usually wear - I didn’t think the new looser fit was enough to size down. Now it just comfortably fits over a looser unisex shirt whereas my older ones I wear over smaller womens t-shirts or tank tops. I thought I’d get the ruby but in person I thought the cosmo blue was just so gorgeous so I got that one. Only complaint is they got rid of the little zippered pocket the hoodie used to have. It was nice to securely keep ur ID and credit card as drop-in hoodie pockets are notorious for things falling out of them. I think it’s dumb it’s called new & improved 2.0 hoodie when it’s more expensive and there’s less pockets. Like women have been fighting for the right to pockets for years and feels like this is a step back into the fashion dark ages lol. It is a great hoodie tho - I just think vuori’s marketing for it is dumb.

I wanted to love this hoodie just as much as I love my other Halo (1.0) hoodie. The original version is soft, has a nice zippered mini-pocket for keys, and is a bit fitted so that it's somehow flattering (not usually a description of a hoodie). I got a 2.0 version for the new colors. Sadly, it only hits 1 of the 3, and it costs more money. The mini-pocket is gone, and it is much bulkier than the last one. The sleeves are so loose that they don't stay up when pushed up, and it doesn't really have any shape. I'm 5'4", 135 lbs, and got a small. I'm going to try an XS, but I think it's more of a cut issue than size issue. So overall - meh. It's still soft, but it's a step down from the 1.0.

Same size, different waist width!

For those of you who like to purchase items in multiple colors once you find a good fit, this review is for you. I purchased this hoodie in size M (grey) and size M (blue) about a year ago. I just purchase this hoodie in size M (green). The green one fits the same as the blue and grey one *except* in the hips. The green one is an inch or two wider, resulting in a flared look rather than a straight fit. If you are a fan of a flare at the hips in your clothes, this hoodie is for you. If you purchased this hoodie a year or so ago and liked the fit, caution -- this model (same size) is not the same shape. So disappointing.

Amazing fit + softness for days

Amazing!! I grabbed this in-store the other day because I had a hecteic day running errands and wore a heavier sweater and the weather turned warmer and my usual backup clothes were not in my car… I’m 5’10 and struggle to find hoodies with real length in the mid and sleeves (long limbed, even for a tall person) - this one hit the nail on the head for me! So soft and amazing length… sleeves go all the way too my hands but aren’t in the way. I also love that it’s cut to fit through the middle but the sleeves have a bit of extra room for comfort (no tight wrists). Grabbing another one in a second color before I can’t find them anymore!! :)

It’s perfect 🤩

I love this hoodie! For starters, it’s not cropped like so many tops now-a-days. Like most Vuori items it’s butter soft, stretchy, and light weight. The metal zipper doesn’t feel cheap. If you are between sizes I would size down, it’s roomy but not oversized by any means. If you have longer arms you might fight the sleeves a tad short; they fit right at my wrists. I’m 5’5” 150 lbs athletic build and got my normal size M.

Not as Good as Original Halo

This is a very soft hoodie, but I have 3 of the original Halo. That one was maybe an inch longer, which is negligible in theory, but it had a slimmer torso and I feel like it was much more flattering than this version, which is shorter and boxier. I also felt like the new version's arms were bigger and the cuffs are looser. As a more petite person, I just felt like the older version was more flattering. It wasn't tight or overly fitted, but just less boxy all over. The fabric is still amazing, very soft and stretchy without being sloppy looking. I think I'd recommend this version to people since most love the boxier, shorter look and it's still a high quality garment. I just miss the cut of the OG version of this great hoodie.

Had the last version

I had the last version of this jacket and just bought the “2.0”. This new version is more expensive and noticeably cheaper made. They have removed the inner zipper pocket that was a great addition to be able to place keys safely while running or even you ear pods etc. It’s noticeable that the material is lighter in a cheaper way. I don’t think I’ll be keeping it. I loved the original version and wish they wouldn’t have changed a thing, I would have gladly paid a little more for the same, but paying more for less is not a bargain.

Where's the zipper pocket??

I have Version 1.0 of this hoodie and absolutely love it. It's unbelievably soft, comfortable, and has a hidden zipper pocket that is big enough to hold credit cards and keys. I thought the only improvement Vuori could make would be to enlarge the pocket a bit so it can comfortably fit a phone and passport. When Hoodie 2.0 arrived I was surprised to see that Vuori had not only NOT enlarged the pocket, they'd removed it altogether. No hidden zipper pocket. When I contacted the company to see if a pocketed version was still available, they told me their design team was always working to make improvements in their garments and that their "improvement" was to remove the zippered pocket. Without the zipper pocket, this becomes just another hoodie. And for just a hoodie, I'm not willing to spend $98. I returned it.

Not as good as the previous versions

I have purchased 2 of these hoodies several years ago. The older versions were much more flattering. They also had a hidden zipper pocket that really comes in handy. This 2.0 version is clearly not the same. No zipper pocket, the cuffs are not as fitted as the previous versions and the cut isn't as fitted as I would like. I kept this one because I was able to get a slight discount from a 20% coupon and my member dividends. But I don't think I'll be purchasing another one in the future.
