These mitts ARE really warm

I bought these specifically for hanging out in the mountains after skiing on really cold days, and for winter hiking. I did read quite a few reviews saying they aren’t warm and I’m a bit puzzled by that. I tested them out at -4F on a 3 mile walk around my ‘hood - not a strenuous, heart pumping hike, but a stroll. Hands were warm in about 5 minutes and stayed toasty. I just took them on a ski trip and walked around town in 12F at nights and also stayed warm. I love them. I do wish they had some sort of cuff that would enable the mitten to slide under a jacket sleeve. But otherwise, I think they feel luxurious and were well worth the buy.

Better for jackets without cuffs

The wrist on these mitts isn't very synched and the cuffs on my jacket are pushing them off my hands, I constantly have to pull them back on my hands/readjust. It's difficult to drive with them, half the mitt is off my hand and I can't hold the steering wheel properly. But I assume they're not designed for driving. I haven't tried wearing them with a cuffless jacket yet, I imagine they might stay on a bit better. But I like cuffs on my jacket to keep out the wind/snow. We haven't had much cold weather yet this winter so not sure how warm they are. I like the look of them but I'm not yet convinced of their functionality.

i had my hopes up

i was excited to find gloves with down insulation. i was planning on layering these under heavy mountaineering over mits. i got these and they were too thick for that. wearing them under different mits felt tight, comoressed the down, and caused me to lose all dexterity. worn alone, the gloves work well but it feels like the inner lining of the gloves slides all over, causing the down to get thin in places. the sliding inner liner also makes dexterity bad even when worn alone. big problems if these get wet from sweat or outside moisture. tried taking them skiing, hiking, and mountaineering but they were a flop. honestly id only recommend these for cold neighborhood walks. the materials are also good quality

Terrible.

Problem #1, every time I wore these my thumbs struggled to slide into place. Definitely not sewn correctly. Problem #2, not warm! Took these to trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp and my hands froze. My hands stayed warmer in wool socks covered in rain mitts.

Don’t buy these!

Doesn’t stay on hands with basic dexterity movements. Constantly having to pull them back on. They just weren’t made well at all. Really regret purchasing these. Not warm either.

garbage

Waste of money. I got these 2 years ago for full price and these have been a major disappointment. The inert part by my finger tips freeze and hard to get on during super cold days. Fits very good when I am home. Doesn’t keep my fingers very warm either.

Very Warm and Surprisingly Durable

For the price, I don't think you can beat these mittens. I have much bulkier down mittens from other brands that cost easily twice as much and stay just a bit warmer. I don't know how these mittens do it, but I'm amazed at how warm they are. I'm borderline Reynaud's Syndrome so I need gear that is very warm. I've had these for a few years and they've been used for hunting, snowshoeing, skiing and running a tracked snow blower. I really have beat the crap out of them and I'm finally replacing them because I managed to cut the tip of one of them.

cozy, puffy mittens

i was a little hesitant to buy these having read the one review, but i decided to go for it, wanting a lightweight option, primarily for my hikes...it has been single digits in early mornings when i go to hike, and my fingers were freezing. these are great, i stay warm on the trail and they are easy to put in the pack

Very warm, but they slide off your hands

Very warm mittens, and super comfy, but they don't stay on my hands. The elastic around the wrists is not tight, so as you're active, they continuously slide up. I found myself repeatedly readjusting them and pulling them down.

Warm Mitts

Some of the warmest mitts I own. These are great for cold days in the mountains where you need something that packs down small and light. They aren't abrasion resistant so don't expect these to be a new winter work glove but paired with a shell mitt they've been a life saver. Ideal for someone who's hands get particularly cold and are needing a light weight & packable solution. These are always with me when snowmachining, winter camping, and low single digit ski days as a warmer backup.
