I love these pants! They’re stylish so I get a lot of compliments on them, definitely a unique and cool look. I ordered these pants in both the orange papaya colorway and the blue colorway. I really only wanted the blue, but the orange was on sale for a good price so I decided to order those as well. I normally wear a size 2 Petite in REI women’s pants, so I ordered that size in the blue. However the orange only had size 0 in women’s left so I just decided to give that a try. Both fit great! The Size 0 women’s was just a bit longer in length, understandably, but not bad at all. I am 5’3 and they don’t drag or get in the way, the fit of the design difference is just that they don’t taper as much towards the ankles. I love how the elastic holds me in well, too. I took these on a few hikes already, some with lots of scrambling and water and others that were chill. They did well for both! Super light weight but good with wind breaking. Water didn’t soak in and I was worried about rocks ripping them because the material felt so fragile and light but they were durable! Totally recommend even if it’s just for casual wear :)
Love these Hiking Pants. I have purchased 5 pairs, returned one. I gifted a pair to a friend. The return was due to the waist cord breaking shortly after purchase. I live in Southeast Central Florida. These pants are a God-send! They are comfortable to wear in the summer months. I bought my first pairs for a Hiking trip in WV. I did an 11+ mile day hike in these pants, COMFORTABLY! No rubbing, No moisture issues (and I am a sweater). They were amazing! I am 5'7", 220 lbs, and can wear both a size 14 & 16. I prefer 16 mostly due to the waist cord.
Listen... if you are shapely and outdoorsy, these are your pants. I have never had a better fitting pair of pants in my life. My waist is 28" but my hips are 40". These pants in size 6 fit like a glove. These are the only pants ever to fit both my waist and hips without bunching, requiring a belt, or showcasing the dreaded "plumber" when I sit, squat, or crouch. I kept waiting for more fun colors and patterns, only to discover they have been discontinued. I love everything about these pants - lightweight, quick-dry and feel wonderful in hot desert hiking, generous pockets, boot zippers at the ankle, elastic waistband that does not require a belt or have those fabric ties inside (the worst), fun colors. I am devastated we cannot have more of these. Please bring them back! Preferably in fun 80s and 90s patterns and more bright colors. Tell all your friends to buy them if they return. I wear them on every hiking and backpacking trip and all around town. They are also great travel pants as the zippered pockets accommodate all your essentials - wallet, phone, passport, etc.
These pants are the best pair of hiking pants I have worn this year. The quality is excellent, especially from the usual zip-offs I get. The material is soft, comfortable and breathable (feels like a pajama on your skin). On a steep hill/maneuvers, they stretch and move without pulling on any seams, which speaks to the way they designed this (there is stitching in different places, not sure for style or design). I have a pair in orange and it is just sweet. I’ve worn them in the city too! As for fit, order your usual size. I got a wide version and it was wider in the thighs like it should be. I wear them loose fit. Love ‘em
These were a wonderful fit! Since I received these as the cold weather came in, I wore these as a top layer a couple of times with a base layer and felt very comfortable in 40-50 degree weather. I appreciated the variety of 4 pocket locations. However, the front leg pocket was a little too low on my knee to put anything bulky/heavy in there. (I'm 5'4) I have thicker legs and most of the time I struggle to find comfortable pants that give me flexibility and don't feel restrictive, but these fit great! Normally I have to go up a size or two but these left plenty of room in my legs. The waistband felt secure in longer hikes where I didn't feel the need to constantly pull up my pants. I would imagine these would be great for climbing and already recommended these to my sister!
I received these pants for free to review. My daughter is wearing these pants in the pictures. She is the same weight but a different build than I am. Height and weight range drop down menu selections below were chosen to reflect her build, so other women can accurately see what these pants may look like on themselves. She is wearing a size 10 at 5ft 3in at around 150lbs. The cut is very generous. Take that into consideration if buying them blindly online. I am between sizes and did not know if I should size up or down. I definitely should have sized down, and if I had tried these on in store would have gone down a couple sizes. There are an AMAZING NUMBER OF POCKETS on these babies. So many pockets. You're going to love the number of pockets on these. They are generously sized and well placed. There are also zippered expansion plackets for your hiking boots. The fabric is synthetic but does not make that weird "windbreaker" synthetic fabric hiss when it rubs on itself. So you walk more or less silently. I appreciate this detail, along with the pockets. The fabric does feel thin. I am not sure how it would hold up to sticks, rocks, and abrasions. So definitely stick to day hikes on trails with these. Nothing rugged. I definitely see these as pants you put some Nature's Valley granola bars in the pockets on a nice spring day, with a little backpack you've got a blanket and sandwiches in, and your reusable water bottle strapped to the side with strawberry pineapple water, and a few of your friends, and if you're in CO or another legal state you're all hiking to The Spot to chill. We've had a cold snap and these pants were NOT up to par to hike in. With wool long johns they were causing a lot of static. Honestly something you don't want in a wildfire prone state like CO. They are cute. But I got absolutely annihilated by my Gen Z and Gen A kids for looking like Naruto in these pants. Dattebayo! Having kids is bad for your self esteem. Don't have kids and just buy pants.
These pants actually fit my hips and butt!! I’ve bought climbing pants before at the same price pant and the fit was horrible. But these are loose throughout the thigh area and come up far enough on my waist. They also have a drawstring that actually stays in place so the pants don’t start sliding down in the back. I went top rope climbing in these and they stayed in place just as well as my leggings do while still giving me freedom of movement. They also have tons of deep pockets. I bought two pairs!! I normally wear a 12 and the 12s fit wonderfully.
This pair of pants is lightweight (which is helpful for trips where you’re conscious about the weight you’re carrying) and works wonders for people with full figures! I’ve been able to hike, climb, etc and move with ease! They’re also one of the more stylish hiking pants I’ve purchased. 10/10 highly recommend
Bought the beige and orange color. Thinking about getting them in black. Would absolutely love to see them in a PURPLE color!!!!! Wore the beige to Costa Rica. Great for hiking and the airport. Pockets big enough for passport, card wallet, and 2 phones (iPhone 11 and Pixel 6A). Would highly recommend. I have a small waist with love handles and thick thighs. These pants are comfy and flattering. I got the size 12 and they fit great (I tried on 3 sizes to be absolutely sure on the desired fit). I wish more manufacturers made pants with elastic/ drawstring waists. Can’t find my measuring tape to include my measurements. But I weigh 176 lbs. If you’re on the fence, just buy them and once you try them on, you will see for yourself. The price is steep and the most I’ve ever paid for pants personally but worth it bc I feel comfortable and confident in them!!
My first pair of hiking pants. I accidentally bought them one size too big bc I’m in between sizes but I’m working towards colder weather hiking so I can layer up. The fact that they are thin and durable is great and not always easy to achieve. They’re comfortable and take into account my hips, thighs, and butt due to the fact that the top of them is adjustable and the shape of the pant allows for wider hips and butt. I always look for outdoor gear for curvy women because we still to this day get left behind. The pockets are very useful and the zipper on that bottom is appreciated. I hiked in high 60s temp and they felt very breathable. No complaints.
