Love it!
I had so many questions about this jacket when buying online and not having the opportunity to try it on first. The first question was sizing bc I read reviews saying it was too big. I bought based on the actual measurements of the jacket. I have a medium that is 22" in the chest. I usually wear L or XL in women's clothes, I'm happy w this choice bc the jacket is a little more fitted which is good given the weight and bulk. The other thing I wondered was whether it stretches. People said it was stiff, and it is. I'm assuming it might loosen up w wear over time. There is some stretch in the jacket and it is the perfect amount to wear this jacket more fitted.
Very warm, very soft!
This jacket is so, so warm!! Even in the negative temps in Alaska, and even with wind, it kept me nice and toasty! I'm from a colder state and am used to cold temperatures, but not quite to the extent that we saw in Alaska. However, the majority of the time I was able to go out in just this jacket and I stayed warm. On one cold and windy hike (still air temp was -4°F not accounting for the wind-chill), it kept me so warm that I was sweating and ended up needing to take it off near the end. The only disappointment is that washing instructions are not included on any of the tags and took me a minute to find them online. FYI, if you machine wash, use gentle, unscented soap on a delicates cycle and air dry. I'm guessing a dryer cycle would ruin the fluffiness of the outside.
Bizarre Jacket
This jacket was so stiff and heavy it was just awkward to wear. Was hoping to find a new fleece for hiking, but this is not it. Would not recommend this for any outdoor activities, maybe just running around town. Found this really uncomfortable and hard to move around in. Colors are beautiful though. I purchased the green and was sad to return.
Perfect in so many ways
I am so happy to find this beautiful Fjallraven fleece jacket at REI after seeing it advertised in Outside magazine. I was able to try the green on in my local REI store but ended up ordering the navy (a nice dark navy). The green is very nice, too. I like the styling and plenty of room in shoulders for full range of motion.
Really liked this except for the weird lining
I really wanted to like this because I love the color and the boxy fit, but the inside material is very stiff, sort of like a wetsuit material? And I ended up returning it because that was not as comfortable as I wanted it to be
The Best Fleece!
I exchanged a Patagonia fleece that shedded microfibers all over, for this fleece. Absolutely the BEST fleece jacket I have. Extremely well made, very warm, wind breaking as the backing of the fleece is solid not more fleece. Absolutely love this. I’m 5’7” 145lb., 36” bust and a M is perfect and can layer underneath.
Great Fleece For Urban Adventures
I really like this jacket for wearing to the office or running errands. It’s warm and I love the color and fit. I also love that the inside makes it easy to put on over sweaters and other fleeces but I don’t think it would be great for hikes. The reviews about the stiff collar are correct and wearing it while exercising would be uncomfortable. Good thing I have other fleece jackets for that.
Great product, too heavy
Love this product & brand. Fjallraven offers timeless, quality apparel. However, this coat is too stiff/heavy for me, especially around the neck.

Outstanding Warmth
I have and have had so many fleeces over the years, Patagonia, Cabela’s, Mountain Hardwear, and now Fjallraven. By far this is the WARMEST fleece ever. It blocks wind, feels cozy, and is far more durable than the Patagonia fleeces that allow air through and wear quickly with regular use. Love Fjallraven products they are my new go to. All Fjallraven products are high quality - prices are worth it.
