Cups are huge!!
I wanted to love this bra, but the AB cups are massive!! I wear a size small in every other brand and those bra (32 AB) was enormous. This won’t fit a lot of runners who have run off their boobs. Plus, there are a lot of internal seams around the cups to hold in the padding, which is disappointing for an otherwise seamless bra. Otherwise it seems fantastic. I’d buy several if it came in a smaller size. Theoretically I would recommend to a friend, if any of my friends had boobs this big.
Comfortable & Supportive
Love this bra. Not a runner, but a huge long distance backpacker and hiker. This bra is the bomb. So comfortable you don't know you are wearing one. Keeps everything in place. Love, love the material. Wicks away sweat, doesn't stink, and so soft and cushy. Easier to get on and off than other sports bras I have tried. Plus I love the colors. I have a teal and a lavender. The only thing I noticed is the tag is itchy. They need to stamp it instead of having an actual tag. It is long and makes your side itch. I took mine off on my lavender bra as it is a separate stitching and it is so much better.
Would buy again! Careful with size!
Alright - we all know that bra sizes are nuts, right? I took measurements and was told to order a 40AA, I believe. I ended up with a 36CD, which fits quite well. It's slightly less compressive than I prefer, so I would suggest going with your gut on the size, then sizing down if you want a tighter fit. The bra itself is SUPER comfortable and supportive enough for running. I found that the tag was hugely irritating after a couple of runs, so I removed it (it's sewn in with a separate thread so you don't risk ripping seams). The underarm band does seem to gape after continued use, but so far this seems to snap back once washed.
This bra's cup sizing makes zero sense! Cup size A/B or C/D = no good for running
I really liked this pull-over bra because it has no hooks or clasps. My plan was to wear this bra as my inner layer bra since I wear two sports bras for running. Unfortunately, this bra's cup sizing makes zero sense. I am a size 38C. The size choices are between 38 size CD or AB cups. I selected the 38CD, which has too much gapping underneath my arm pits. I used the Brooks sizing tool and it states I am a 38 AB bra size. Ladies, have you ever seen a size C chest fit into a size A bra cup size? The other Dare Sports bras offer sizes by each cup size: A, B, C, and D . Brooks please rethink the cup sizing on this bra.
Huge disappointment!
These new Brooks running bras are a huge disappointment and a waste of money for anyone who needs a large cup and sturdy support. They are very bouncy and squeeze the breasts together so there's a lot of trapped moisture. For the person who really NEEDS the support, they will not find it in this design. Oh, the strap hooks! Why do we only have a limited number of hook thingies to adjust the straps?! I have been happily using Brooks Maia style 350054 for years, and these new stretchy bras are no substitute for that level of support. I find this to be a comfortable bra for regular daily wear but not for high impact.
Bring back the Dare Strappy Run Bra!
Great bra, but it runs large and stretches out Pros: The Crossback 2.0 has the great chafe- free qualities of the Strappy Run bra (seamless, no clasps or metal). Cons: The sizing on the 32A/B is larger on the Crossback 2.0 than the Strappy Run bra. After 2 yrs of use training and running ultras, the sides on the Crossback are gaping and it has stretched out quite a bit. The lack of clasps / hooks / metal hardware is simply essential when running for 12+ hrs at a time with a pack and has eliminated my chafing issues. I just wish the sizing were consistent and didn’t stretch out. If that can’t be fixed, please bring back the model that fits - the Strappy Run bra!
PERFECT: Running, Biking, Free weights, PMSing
I bought this bra during the last REI sale to try it out (32 A/B). I didn't have high hopes because in my experience, A/B cups either aren't supportive at all (glorified nipple covers), or they crush my chest so tight my breathing is restricted and are unwearable. This bra did neither of those things. This bra is the perfect combination of support and snug, but did not restrict my breathing at all. It did not turn into a heavy, soggy mess. The cups did not fall out or fold up in the wash. The straps do not not cut into my shoulders. It is completely invisible under my thin exercise shirts. It is not an exaggeration to say this is the most amazing sports bra I have ever worn. The field has peaked. This is it. This is The One. As a bonus - this bra is the most comfortable support for PMS breast pain. My breasts basically turn into ground meat during my period, making running/cycling/lifting excruciating, and everyday obstacles like a regular staircase a unique form of torture. I usually go without a bra at all and just give up on exercising for the week. This bra turned my PMS week into a regular week. This weekend, woke up in extreme agony, popped on this bra, promptly forgot about the ground meat on my chest, and did a 2 hour bicycle ride and a 1 hour run completely pain free. I'm never taking this thing off. Here I am, back, buying 2 more, at full price, which I never do. I'm never taking this thing off. Shut up and take my money.
The first time in 15 years I forgot I had breasts
I’m a 34F and this is the best sports bra I’ve ever worn. My first wear of this I wore it five days straight through both travel and backpacking across hard terrain. Everything in my body hurt EXCEPT my chest. I realized on day four that I hadn’t thought about my bust at all — no discomfort, rubbing, awkwardness, pain, sweat soaking, nada. First time I think I haven’t been aware of SOMETHING up since before I had ’em. Crazy experience. I highly recommend, especially for those of us with small(er) bands and larger cup sizes.
Falling apart
This is my second purchase of this bra. The first one is still in great condition and I wear it all the time it’s several years old. The second one I purchased is only nine months old and it’s falling apart. The straps are separating into two Pieces as it seems to be held together with glue? Very disappointed. I plan to continue to purchase more of these, but now, unfortunately, I will not be due to the obvious downgrade and construction in the last two years
Comfortable, but a no go.
I have this bra in 36AB in the Nile Green. It is super comfortable, but the sides stretched and became loose after just a few wears. I wore it twice and noticed the sides were loose, so I hand-washed and hung to dry, thinking it would go back into shape. Nope. It’s only gotten worse. I wear it to work under my scrubs now because of comfort over a regular bra, but it’s no good for running, or any exercise, anymore. A major bummer and a waste of money.
