honestly I hate to write a bad review but my seams ripped after about 30 uses, I am careful with my gear, I do understand I live in a ski town and i use my gear a lot but if i spend $350 I want my bibs to last longer than a year. Today I had my zipper just come right off and I was really sad, It's even sadder I missed the return date by a week. Not too butt hurt I had a great time skiing in them But please don't buy these if you plan on wearing them more than. 10 times
I love these bibs but the fit is very misleading. They're supposed to be "looser" than the other Flylow styles but are definitely not. I usually wear a small to medium (fairly standard size 6), but the medium hardly zips over my butt and hips without a baselayer. I can get a thin long undie layer underneath and they're comfortable enough for shoveling snow but anything that requires sitting or bending (you know...like riding a chair lift or ratcheting bindings) is a struggle. I love the style, color and material; they are protective and durable with appropriate pockets and heavy duty zippers. Aside from the aforementioned hip tightness they are fabulous bibs; I just wish I had known to order 2 sizes up.
The Flylow Womens Size chart is totally wrong. I normally wear a womens size 12 and ordered an XL which states a US size 16 for plenty of room for layers. They are too tight! I have NEVER had an XL feel tight and I've NEVER been a size 16. I really like the Gortex and the construction but SUPER disspointed in the sizing. The Men's version comes in an XXL, why not the womens?
As some other reviews mentioned the sizing is wildly off. I am a womens size 8 in pants and I had to get a size XL for fit the hips. I am a curvy latina and ive never tried on a large that was so tight. I will need to get them hemmed bc they are so long. I wore them snowshoeing in the Rockys in the early spring. I highly recommend them as they kept me warm and comfortable for hours on end. Just be prepared for the sizing as it is not inclusive of all sizes.
Love these bibs! I’m a snowboarder and these bibs stay dry all day, where as my last pair of pataguccis I’d have a wet backside all day. I run hot so the light weight material feels great, even on the cold days it’s blocks the wind well. It took a minute to having snug snow pants, but they fit better than most my jeans. And the biggest thing is I don’t have a ton of snow getting under my jacket and I’m my clothes.
