Quality control issues related to the fabric where the shoe itself is well designed BUT the fabric wear off after 10-15 years especially from the heal back side . This is my 4th pair of cloud , three cloud monsters and this cloudone pair. For the price range I would expect the shoe to last till next to life expectancy is over (4-6 months for running shoes depending on the intensity and frequency of use), all my cloud shoes start wearing off (the fabric) after 10-15 runs or around 60-90 km of use). I never use the same shoes two days in a raw, I alternate between the shoes depending on the run length, intensity, terrain & if doing gym workouts I use special shoes for that). I would say these are a waste of Money unless you want to use them for 60-100 km and toss them ; then their price point should be set at $45-60 USD vs $125-180+ right now
One of the best shoe experience. I owned mizuno and nike before but this shoe was another level. Super comfy. Definitely recommend for friends and family members.
less than 100 miles and the fabric around the heel is frayed. The mid foot and heal tread is worn smooth.
Upper tore after less than 60 miles of road running. The quality and durability is lacking. The black color started to fade to a reddish/brown. The support seemed to give an uneven ride with a much softer support through the arch than the outside of the shoe , imo. For context, I have put a few hundred miles on similar min-mid cushion, neutral, ~10mm dropped shoes. Avoid buying without testing first. Buy from a place with a generous return policy in case the quality misses the mark like my pair did.
As a well-conditioned, 65 year old athlete with flat feet, I found On's new Cloudgo is an innovative neutral, lightweight trainer with an amazing, comfortable, cushioned ride. The company added a new Helion midsole that provides a softer and more compliant feel underfoot. Furthermore, the flexible TPU Speedboard is almost not noticeable, providing a ride best for easy miles and daily training. I have not used the shoe for racing, so I can't speak to that. Planter Fasciitis can be a problem for an athlete with flat feet and the new Cloudgo's construction addresses this issue, which makes the shoe even more remarkable! I highly recommend this outstanding shoe and would recommend it a half size up.
Great show for wearing without socks, breathable And comfortable for every casual wear as camp shoes, goes with jeans, grey pants, white shorts, sole is versatile good as boat deck shoes! Comfortable, ankle low enough not to give you blisters, double knot shoe laces it easily unties let's hope it lasts....
These are great looking and very comfortable shoes. Unfortunatelly, in little over a month, both shoes have multiple holes: at the back of the heel and just above the little toe. I only now realize my older ORs gave up in a very similar way… it just took more time to get there. Will be trying to return these (never returned worn shoes before), as the price was too steep for the short lifespan.
I have a number of cloud shoes and these are the best for my foot pain issues. Very, very comfortable shoes and they are not so thick that it feels like you are walking on a mattress.
This was my 4th pair of On’s and by far the least durable. Upper fabric did not hold up, soles broke quickly. They were comfortable to begin with, they just don’t hold up.
I’m far from an avid runner but getting back into it. Past shoes I used for running were Nike, Brooks, and recently Hoka. The Brooks were like concrete blocks on my feet, Nike never fit my foot right and my Hoka were for trail running. After reading about the stability on these shoes I couldn’t pass them up. I have about 16 miles on them so far and I can tell a huge difference from my Nike/Brooks. They roll nice from heel to toe, have great stability, not super soft on the sole so good feedback, and the upper is nice and toasty yet breathable. Only downside is they are heavy but definitely not the heaviest shoe out there. If you are starting back up in running or a beginner I would recommend this shoe.
