Subtle and Roomy Inno Roof Box
I was researching roof boxes that didn't break our budget and fit well for our 2022 RAV4 Hybrid. Ruled out Thule and Yakima because the good ones were in the $1k and everyone had one. The popular Inno 660 always sells out quick but only had 11 cu. ft. of useful cargo area. The matte black Inno 2020ST fits the bill well for us. At 14 cu. ft. it has ample storage for our summer and winter gear depending on season. The memory clamps that fasten the box onto the roof bars work very well, better than our friends turn knobs on their Thule IMO. The subtle Inno logo differentiates the 2020ST from its sister roof boxes with their bright and jazzy Inno logo. Being environmentally sound, the box was constructed with recycled materials. A nod to being green minded. Finally we got the Inno 2020ST at a price half of its competitors when REI had its yearly Sales Event. Kuddos to Inno and REI!
Fantastic box
This box looks great on my Bronco Sport. Very sleek, and fits way more than it looks. Best part is that it only takes 10 minutes to install onto the car, and i’m able to do it solo. I have two dogs that ride in crates, which really limit the amount of stuff I can throw inside the car. I’ve used the box for both snowboarding and camping trips.
Made for the long trip! And long ownership!
I researched my purchase, so I pretty much knew what I wanted. Custm.r Service was great! Product is exactly what I wanted. I was pleased with the build quality not owning Inno before, but it looked much nicer than Thule and Yakima, including the cost difference. Upon delivery, my expectations were pleasantly met! I definitely would purchase another Inno product....build quality is exactly what I was looking for.....thank!!
Inno is better than Thule
This roof box is excellent. I replaced the equivalent Thule roof box with this Inno roof box and I am more than happy with my purchase. The Inno box has a better system for locking/unlocking and a better method for attaching the box to the roof rack bars. In fairness, my Thule box was several years old, and it's possible they've made improvements in the meantime, but every time I put the Thule box on my car, I got extremely frustrated at how stupid Thule's design is. The Inno box is much better designed/engineered and about $100 less.
Good roof box for the money
Have used this INNO Roof Box on top of our Ford Explorer multiple times this past year. Find it holds more stuff than I'd imagine, like carry-on suitcases, folding lawn chairs, and backpacks. Have driven in rainy wet conditions and things have stayed dry. Can put items in large garbage bags if concerned about moisture. The top of the clamshell seems to overhang the bottom shell to prevent moisture getting in. The vice-like grippers hold fast and steady to the Ford supplied roof rack crossbars. Good instructions provided. Slight decrease in MPG noticed when mounted on our SUV. Any of these large roof boxes are somewhat cumbersome to lift up onto higher SUVs and take off, but this 70+ person is able to do it solo with some attention to leveraging principles.
+ Looks, weight, and space; ? Otr Material
Good Looking, light weight, ample space, but inspect the materials. The grained surface in the front corners was marred and slightly gouged. Edges seem rough (can see the injection mold parting lines). Got it during the Summer Sale, plus the store gave me an extra $75 off when I found the defects upon opening the box. It's nice to have this recycled material, but it can easily mar if something rubs against it the wrong way. Does anybody know if we can place stickers on the outside?
