[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Slept in ~25F snow, paired it with an R-value 6.9 sleeping pad, inside a 2-person tent, no winds, no precipitation; toasty the whole night in a base layer plus socks. I'm 5'2", 112lbs, narrow, back sleeper, and had room to stuff clothes in the footbox with my puffy stuffed around my torso to fill dead space. I generally run cold and was worried I'd be miserable. Only when I rolled off my pad onto the tent floor was I cold (not the bag's fault); once I was back on the pad then back to toasty bag with no cold sides. It fit into a 14L compression bag but I worried about damaging the bag while stuffing so I'll probably switch to a 20L. The listed weight is accurate. The zipper does snag on the draft tube but I just moved it out of the way while zipping. There's a small internal pocket that fits a phone. It did awesome! So comfortable! I love this bag! I've been recommending it to friends! I would buy it again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can get real claustrophobic in mummy bags. After a trek in Nepal where my old Angle Fire did fine but was a little chilly at high altitude it was time for a 0 degree bag. I shopped around for a bag that wouldn’t break the bank trying a few options. Most of them were too narrow for me to not feel a little panicked (I’m 5.7 132lbs), but this bag is amazing! Warm and cozy but with enough room for me to sleep on my side without being strangled. While the regular length says fits up to 5.6 you’ll be totally fine at a max of 5.75. The bag is a smidge heavier that some other 0 degree mummy bags, but totally worth it for a few extra inches in the hips. Marmot does it well!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been thinking I needed a 0 degree bag for spring and fall camping at elevation, and just bought this last month. I backpacked the weekend it arrived up along the Continental Divide to camp at some amazing lakes before snow falls for the season. The bag packed down just enough and didn't bog me down while hiking about 30 miles all over 9,000 feet elevation. Even with frost on the tent and snow fields nearby, I was toasty warm in my new sleeping bag. So glad I made the purchase!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new 0uray and can’t wait to camp again!! I purchased this bag for a horsepack trip into Yellowstone in late September. The days were warm but the nighttime temps dropped into the 20s, and I couldn’t wait to get into my new bag!! No problem with sticky zippers, and I love the short zip feature too. Great for access. I typically sleep on my side w my top leg stretched over/forward, and I was able to do this comfortably. Huge win!! For reference, I’m 5’8, 145lbs and bought the long. I’m not thrilled with the stuff sack as it doesn’t really cinch tightly, so will replace. Thanks, Marmot for keeping me warm and toasty, and extending my camping season well into the fall!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, so I get really, really cold easily. When we were planning a desert trip in the fall, I was nervous about the nights down by the river. I knew that my 15 degree bag wouldn't hold up. This bag was incredible! I didn't even have to wear a puffy coat inside the bag! I had a pillow to put inside it and I could just cinch the hole for my face and be so toasty warm! The inside pocket was amazing fo my phone! It didn't have any issues from getting to cold at night. The bag also stuffs down really small! I had to buy a smaller stuff sack though, as the one that comes with the bag is pretty big. It wasn't heavy in my bag either. Exactly what I've been looking for in a bag! And the color isn't too bad either. ;)
This bag is exactly what I was looking for! I was so tired of being cold all the time, and a friend suggested this bag. I slept in it in below freezing temps and was the warmest I've ever been in my tent. I used it on a warmer night in the car and was also comfortable, so the down does its job well. I'm 5'3 and fit perfectly in it with room to sleep on my side and stretch my hips out. It is very lofty and also soft. It might be a little bulky for someone who is backpacking multi day trips, I compressed it down to see how it would fit in my bag and it didn't get as small as I would have thought but it seems worth it for me! Also to note: it does not come with any sort of compression bag, just a stuff sack and a mesh bag for storage
Cozy, light, warm, well made. Love this bag! It kept me toasty on a backcountry ski hut trip, with overnight temps dropping into the low teens. The mummy shape around the face is nice and spacious with enough room for a blow up pillow. My only complaint is that marmot did away with the drawstring cord feature that closed off the sleeping bag fully around the shoulders. This bag has one or two draw strings in the same area, but they don’t fully connect the way my old bag did. Still, I highly recommend this bag!!
I bought this earlier this year at spring sale and I've been looking forward to trying I out. However I'm not super impressed. We had frost and quite high humidity, approx -4 degrees Celsius and I woke up in the middle of the night, being cold. I wear a base layer of a wool shirt and pants, and I didn't expect that I had to add anything more in a sleeping bag with comfort temperature -19. I would have enjoyed a compression bag to go with the sleeping bag but other than that it's quite ok
The quality and construction of the sleeping bag is great and of the same Marmot quality I’m used to. But.. the color… Yikes, the color. It really is not depicted on the site as it looks in person. I never would’ve ordered this color had I known what it really looks like. Not a fan at all. The picture makes it look like a dark bluish royal purple, but in actuality it’s the kind of purple you would see on children’s clothes.
I'm one of those people that needs to be cozy to sleep, I have a down comforter on my bed year round, and this bag helps me sleep like a baby. After years of being too cold while camping, I decided to upgrade to a zero bag, I did a lot of research and this bag has the best reviews. I got it two years ago, and camp almost every weekend from about May to October, so while I haven't winter camped in it, I did camp in Alaska with it in September and November. The bag still looks like it is new, I keep it in the larger stuff sack, and despite my dog walking all over it, there are no holes in it. The head room is probably the best feature, the multi baffle hood, with a little extra space keeps me warm without feeling claustrophobic. Overall, amazing bag, I'd love to see the lighter, Lithium option available for women too, but for now I'll survive with the extra weight.
