Product Quality Issue
I received my box of instant coffees and noticed that the packets may have experienced some difficulty during transit or something because each one I opened was clumpy. I have purchased a few boxes before, but this is the first time the product looked different. Not only that, ultimately the taste was not very good and each packet was “off”- as if the taste had expired such as when a pulled espresso shot expires if it is not mixed right away. I’m mostly sad because I look forward to each packet as a treat when I prepare them, so each one that didn’t taste right was very disappointing. I reached out to Verve and have yet to receive a response. I’m hoping to continue to be a happy customer and hoping this was just a one off
Still instant coffee tasting
We got this to try before a camping trip. We've liked the Starbuck microgrind, but would rather support a small business. Unfortunately, it won't be this one. It has that kind of burnt caramel-y (but not sweet) taste that instant coffees like Folger's have. Tried two different blends, and the second one added about 8 oz. water instead of 10. Still bad. Might use the rest to sprinkle over ice cream.
Good for what it is, but distinct 'instant' flavor
I'm a pour-over and AeroPress coffee drinker, and I had high hopes for these instant coffee packets to be 1) backup coffee for traveling and 2) a nice way to keep a very small amount of decaf coffee in the house without buying a whole bag of beans. I bought the Variety Pack so I could try a few flavors and types, including the decaf. The coffee flavor is strong, and it has a distinct instant-coffee taste, just like the top notes of other instant coffee or espresso, like Medaglia d'Oro. I give it a 6 out of 10.
It Ain’t Your Mama’s Instant Coffee
The thing that I really like about the Verve Instant Coffees is the mouth feel and taste. Usually with most instants from back in the day, in my humble opinion, you can tell it’s an instant coffee with an almost powdered drink feel and taste. Verve is very smooth regardless of whether you prepare it with either cold or hot water and you can really pick up the nuances in flavor profiles. I think it makes a great stand-in for when you don’t access to a coffee maker for a brewed cup…quickly.

Verve is by far my favorite coffee brand, so when I tried this Instant Coffee I wasn’t surprised by how good it is! Quick and easy as well. Will be buying this again and again.
A variety of disappointments.
Several of the packets have become single hard pucks. None are great, but why would you put a decaf packet in there 1/7th of all the boxes are going to be going in the trash. Honestly the worst instant coffee Ive had, even barring the other little quibbles above it is never great. You must have paid off the WSJ reviewer or packaged up another product for them.
For instant coffee it’s probably as good as it can get
I don’t know what it is about instant coffee but it always has this kind of sameness - like a lot of the individual character of the beans just gets lost when it’s reduced to an instant. That said, this is way better than the crap I remember my parents drinking a few decades ago. It’s almost as good as the pod coffee that everyone seems to love these days.

This has to be the best instant coffee I have EVER tried! My husband brought home the Bronson flavor and I mixed it with hot milk in a blender...it is SO frothy and smooth! The flavor is amazing and I was totally surprised! I will be trying ALL the flavors and will be a fan for life! And now I can take it with me to work and when I travel!!

Love their instant coffee. We really appreciate good coffee. I was looking for something to bring camping and their instant coffee eliminates carrying anything other than a mug and some hot water. Great product! Thanks for the mug!! Will strongly recommend this company. Can’t wait to try some whole bean!
Best Instant Coffee - will buy again!
Originally bought this set for a roadtrip / convenience AND as a way to figure out which blend we liked best. Loved the versatility of adding either hot or cold water, and that we had a tasty cup of coffee every time. We failed at identifying our fave blend, as there was something to like about them all!
