Soft against skin
I really liked this sports bra, but I didn’t love it. Pros - the way it felt on my skin, the way it supported me, and the way I could wear it for hours and didn’t feel it digging in or shifting. For a sports bra with thin straps it supported me very well on daily walks and it never left compression marks. I was even able to wear it all day on a day I ran errands after a hike and still felt comfortable by days end. Cons - the padding. It seemed to not sit well in the sports bra. It seemed to get worse after washing. The pads are removable but taking them out I feel reduces the coverage I prefer while wearing a tank top or t-shirt. There was also rippling/creasing that occurred after washing. Mind you I washed with cold water and hung it up to dry. Again, I really liked this sports bra but I feel that with some minor adjustments I would love this bra.
Great fit for large cup small band ladies!
I’m a 32DDD bra and cannot believe how well this fits. Very comfortable and good coverage. I’m using this for yoga, water activities (fishing, SUP, kayaking, swimming), and is super for just lounging around. It stays put and doesn’t dig in at all.
Comfy and moves with you
The REI Active Bralette 2.0 is a simple, supportive, and comfortable bra. Pros: It is comfortable and it gives me good support. The straps are adjustable. It doesn't interfere with my activities at all - I forget that I'm wearing it. While wearing it, I feel that I look normal - it didn't give me an odd shape. I think the crossed strap design makes the Bralette more supportive, which I like. The pads are large enough and shaped so that I never had to worry about them moving out of place while I was wearing the Bralette. Cons: The around-your-chest elastic is just a tiny bit tight for me - if I lose this extra 5 pounds, I'm sure it will be perfect! As expected for this type of bra, each pad floats in a pocket in its cup, which I'm used to from other bras and swimsuits. When I'm not wearing the Active Bralette, a pad will sometimes get a bit crooked, but it's easy to put it back before I put on the Bralette. This never happened when I was wearing the Bralette. Both of my swimsuits do this a lot more than the Active Bralette, so I like the Bralette's design a lot more! REI gave me this Bralette in exchange for an honest review of it. Thanks!
Decent everyday bra or for low impact activity
Pros: The placement of strap connection is perfect right between my shoulder blades, so I don't feel it at all - very comfy in that aspect. Soft easy care fabric. No scratchy seams. Removable cups are nice, though they fall out when washing. It's a fine choice for yoga, walking or gardening. Cons: After a 30 minute high intensity interval workout the pads were so sweaty it felt like wearing wet sponges. I recommend removing pads if you plan to sweat. The side coverage is so full/high that it chafed near my underarm when I tried running in it. Definitely a light activity bralette for me. Wearing for casual wear it was fine, but at the end of the day I still felt relieved to take it off and it left a slight indent where the band sits around my rib cage. I may be more sensitive than most people because I'm small and don't need tight support. My quest for a bra I'll forget I'm wearing it continues.
I love her.
This has been my favorite bra for almost a year. I absolutely adore it and try to wear it everyday for low impact activities like walking, bike rides, to work, or casually. I'm a 34B and ordered the medium, the band isn't super restrictive and the cups don't give a wear shape or gap. I also just feel cute wearing it with the little front wrap and color. It's held up really well, after washing I hang to dry and by the morning it is good to go. The padding inside has also stayed strong, after washing some bras they just start to deteriorate and these have been fine and easy to reshape. Overall, highly recommend!
Low activity, basic coverage.
I bought this due to having matching colored shorts. I’m a 34 D and the strap adjustments are on the lower back straps and have lead to less comfort and control. I do pole fitness and can’t wear this without malfunctioning.
I really like it!
VERY cute; comfortable; supportive enough for a smaller-chested woman, without being too constricting (I usually wear about a 36B for reference; purchased a medium). It’s versatile—so far I think I’ve worn it for work and casual wear, rock climbing, and as makeshift swimwear. Main reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that one or two small spots (seam/tag) have irritated my skin at times—but other times I don’t feel them at all. I haven’t taken it on enough adventures to know how it would stand up to hours or days of abuse in the wilderness, and I don’t think I’ve worn it with a pack on my back yet…but no cause for concern! :)
Not as comfortable as I hoped
I thought I was going to love this bra but I found that the fit wasn't quite right and the inner lining was uncomfortable. Not sure what it is about this bra (structure or just the minimal support), but it made me look wider than I am. There's also a seam across the inside of the cup that not only showed up under a thinner shirt, but was also very itchy. I did like the color though.
Gentle for small chest
I first wore this on a hike in Mt Tamalpais State Park. It was so comfortable I never thought about it! The fabric is soft and dries fast. I have a small chest and don't need much support so I can't comment on this bra from that perspective except to say it worked very well for me and I plan on buying more. At the end of the sweaty hike, this wasn't as claustrophic to remove as my other sports bras. It fit me well, snug but not tight or with any compression. It never felt like it was too loose. I haven't tried it climbing yet, but I have high hopes. I also really appreciate the included removable pads, which I find provide structure to the garment that I like without feeling cumbersome or awkward.
I prefer this to the pervious version
I had the previous version of this bra and I actually prefer this one for a few reasons. I have a smaller rib cage and larger cup size, 32D/32DD, and this bra fits better in terms of the shape of the cup and keeping the girls in place. I had to size up in the last version to accommodate my cup but the band was too loose. I was able to get my actual size in this bra and it’s much more secure. I also have wider set boobs and so the complaint that other people have about the cups nearing their armpits or being kind of wide actually works well for me.
