Please consider being back the old version!
Much much much prefer the old fabric and design from 2021 2022. Any chance that fabric will return？The current version 2023 looks too thick and too soft, too much like a casual jogger than a lightweight “tech” pant.
More Short Inseams Please
I'm always on the lookout for pants with a 28" inseam or less. These are comfy and the Medium-Short fit just right. Please make more short inseam pants...and in more colors!
Better than expected!
I got these clothes for indoor climbing and they are perfect. Durable and fit to the chart size.
Please bring back the old fabric!!!
Have bought this pant for years now, it was my all time favorite pant, for some reason this year they have changed the fabric, seems like the same cut, but the fabric looks a lot more casual, almost like sweat pants, the previous fabric was much more elegant, I could were them at art openings, they were very suitable for dressing up or wear in the toughest of conditions. The new fabric has a comfortable feel, and nice cut, but the fabric is going to be a lot more prone to snagging, actually snagged on the bottoms of my dry feet, I had to pull the pants over my feet in such a way that the fabric would not touch the bottom of my feet, the previous fabric slides effortlessly over my feet.
Great running pants
I went to the local REI for some new running pants. I tried on every pair that they had in my size and these happened to fit the best. They were just the right amount of snug down by the ankles. Almost every bother pair felt like they were going to rip taking them on and off my feet. After taking them out for a run I decided to get another pair. They are the goldilocks thickness for a brisk fall morning in the inland northwest. Don't get one, get two. They are inexpensive and two is the same price of one pair of everything else.
Amazing do it all Pants
I was looking for a go anywhere/ travel/ work out/ lounge around the house kind of pants. I saw these at the REI store and decided to try them out. They are amazing. Perfect length, breath really well, and they just work great. These are now my go to travel pants. Anytime I take a flight these are the pants that I wear. I did a 10 HR London flight and they felt amazing before and after.
Perfect lounging, casual, workout, WFH days
I didn't have the previous version that several of the reviews mention. But these have definitely more of a jogger cut/feel than what I traditionally think of as 'tech' pants. And there's nothing wrong with that. These are great for work-from-home days, lounging about, or taking the dog for a walk. Also for long travel days when you want to be doubly sure nothing slides out of your pockets thanks to the zippers. I liked them so much I got all 3 colors.
Favorite pants/joggers!! Please bring back!
These have been my favorite pants/joggers!! I love the feels, the zippered front pockets, and the look & stretchy fit. Why are they no longer available??? I really needed to buy multiple. I can’t find any substitute as good as these on REI.
different material than last years hoodie.
First things first the pants are great. Lightweight and stretchy and looks cool. The only problem was I wanted to have some sweet REI sweatsuit action that matched last years tech knit hoodie, but it’s darker and “shinier”. I’m tempted to return since my main goal was to have a matching suit but I like the pants. If you aren’t in my predicament, I recommend you get the pants.
Right fit - right feel
I’m very happy with the fit, finish and feel of these pants. They are my new go-to lounge, work from home, weekend pants. The rise is just right in these… surprisingly many pants have too long of a rise leading to extra material below the crotch and restricting movement.
