Short Small Lady :)
Im got an XL. 5’2” on a good day and these are a tad long but nothing to be sad about. Probably would fit a 5’4” person nicely. Normally a small-medium averaging a 2-4 womens. These are fitted in the butt and straight-loose in the legs with it gathered on the bottom. Nice large pockets with ZIPPER yay! But not deep pockets. Got the blue and I love the deep rich royal. Wish they had more variety of dark colors like these in WOMENS (vs just black) pants!! Excited to wear them when it gets cold and when I go camping-backpacking :)
Holes develop fast!
We bought two of these and loved them for about a month. Then both developed knee holes in the same area in about 1 month. I held onto them as "play pants" and under ski pants but am disappointed in the quality.
Comfy!
My 12-year old refuses to wear pants, but he final succumbed to these toasty, soft, and warm fleece pants. He’s 4’10”, 85 lbs, so a bit shorter than the average 12-year old, an athletic build, and he wears a size Medium. I need to buy them in more colors!
Four pairs, four kids, four years, zero holes
I am writing this review because I am purchasing three more pairs of Trailsmith pants, bringing my total to seven. My oldest son (10), wore these pants for two years, and now my twin boys (8), are also wearing them and I have no doubt they will be in good condition to hand down to my youngest. Remarkably, there are still NO HOLES in any of the pants after three rough and tumble boys who attend an outdoor school. These pants are a thick pile, but not as thick as North Face or Reima’s. All of our Patagonia microfleece pants gets holes, but we repair them.
Size Chart Inaccurate
A nice pair of pants, but the size chart states that the Large will fit someone with a 30-31 inch inseam. It falls several inches short of that measurement.
Fits
They fit fairly well. I am a petite person , weighing appox 98 to 100 lbs and 5 feet tall. I haven’t worn them yet. Purchased because they were on sale and in Nov planning a trip to Norway
Favorite pants for Adventures.
Bought these pants for a two week summer adventure. SLC to Glacier. These were the only pants the kid would wear. We stopped at an REI to grab another pair, other than the dust these things look great, backpacking, camping, climbing, sliding down rocks over and over again. Kid endorsed.
Excellent youth fleece pants
I got these fleece pants on sale, what a steal. The are well constructed and cozy, my grandkids love them
Pants to buy again
Great quality pants that don’t overheat you nor do they make you feel restricted while walking/hiking.
