Great Protection
I just used up a tube of thinksport sunscreen. While it is a little difficult to apply, as it is thick, it worked wonders. I was in Southern France for three weeks of hot and very sunny days. I wear long sleeves and hats as I have had several instances of skin cancer on my face and shoulders, but the Zinc based thinksport kept my face and neck completely clear of any sun burn, or tanning. It is clear, not at all like the white nosed life guards of the past. I wish it came in bigger sizes though.perhaps 6 ounces.
Sensitive skin- FIVE STARS
As someone with super fair and sensitive skin and that cares about what I'm leaving traces of in the environments around me, I can't recommend this enough. I'm outside hiking/biking/skiing several days a week and this has kept me from getting burnt with no skin irritation or acne breakouts. This, unlike SO many other chemical or zinc face sunscreens I have tried, also does not make my eyes burn over the course of a day. I've been using this brand exclusively for a year now (I wear sunscreen more than 3 days a week) and am constantly pushing people to try it because I like it that much. Definitely reapplied, but this was also sufficient for a trip to New Zealand with lots of outdoor time.
Not for sunny snow days!!!!
I bought this specifically for a day skiing on Rainier. I applied it liberally and often (every 2 hours), and I have the worst sun burn on my face I have had in my entire life. Waiting to see how much of my face peels off. I am sure it would be fine for normal sun, but not for sunny snow/glacier days!!!!
Sticky and Stays On After Showering
Used this during our trip to Hawaii and its extremely sticky and tacky while applying. Leaves a major white cast and makes your body feel sticky the whole entire time it's on. Even after showering and scrubbing you can still feel it on your body. Would never use this again.
Really viscous and hard to apply
Protects against the sun ok, but it's really viscous and hard to apply
Protect against UV
This has always been essential in summer. So much more compact than weighty, pressurized spray. No danger of getting in eyes. Disappears quickly into skin. Smells good. Why not in shops?
NOT transparent!
I don’t understand the advertising and reviews saying this doesn’t turn you white -- I look like a ghost when I use it--and yes, I rub it in well. It does work as a sun block, but it’s not as advertised. I spend long hours in the sun doing endurance biking and hiking -- this isn’t as I’d hoped for those times...
Great Sunscreen
I had been looking for a better mineral sunscreen after trying several others. This is easy to apply and holds up to water and sweat. It provided excellent protection on a Grand Canyon rafting trip.
Good reef safe sunscreen
Bought this for Hawai'i, because it's reef safe. So far, the best reef safe sunscreen I have used - it's not greasy or oily, and it doesn't leave the usual white residue on.
Gray sun protection without the white gooey mess
This product is as advertised it contains zinc oxide but is transparent. due to the lack of sunny weather this Spring I have only used a few times, but have found it to be effective. It has a thick consistency but once I apply it is clear. No burning so far. I recently had a procedure to remove kin cancer from my face so I am very conscientious about protecting my skin from the sun.
