Worked Great! Except for the water bottle pocket

This bag is great for carrying small items, but don't be fooled by the pictures. The water bottle holder is tiny and I struggled to fit a very small water bottle. The website photos show a nalgene-type bottle, but only the smallest nalgene would fit in the pocket. I was able to carry two very small water bottles, snacks, battery pack, chapstick, kleenex, all the necesities for a day exploring a city. Overall it worked great, just don't expect it to fit a regular sized water bottle.

Strap irritatingly short!

The sling bag itself is good, but the strap is too short! The strap made the bag almost unusable except to carry by the handle. I bought a couple of glide buckles and a one-foot piece of webbing, cut the strap on the bag, and added the foot of webbing. Now it's actually a usable sling bag. It cost me $6 to fix the strap. If North Face had made the strap longer to begin with (maybe 10 cents in added cost), I'd have given the bag four or five stars.

Great for quick trips

I really like the majority of this bag. I knew the dimensions when I bought it, but I wish it were a tiny bit bigger. The internal organizer pouch works well for small items and I like that it's fixed to the bag and doesn't flop around. The fleece lined front pocket is great for a phone. The large zipper pulls make the main pocket quick to open The external bungee can be used to hold really thin items, but there isn't a lot of room for bulkier items. The strap is comfortable, but it would be better if there was a way to adjust where the pouch sits across your chest. The bag seems well built. My main complaint is with the bottle holder on the side- this can be used for things like a telescoping fishing rod, but it barely works for a bottle. It's a tight squeeze to get a disposable bottle in there; forget about trying to get anything wider (even a narrow hydro).

Love it!! Great small sling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wanted a sling bag so my shoulders weren't tired at end of the day when wearing on trails or in amusement parks. This was perfect. This backpack is not quite as big as I expected it to be, I am 6'0" about 170 (see photos). However, this was not a problem for me! I came to enjoy how small it was, I can pack everything I need for a day in it. Wallet, keys (plastic carabiner in interior zip compartment is great and something I like in other outdoor brands), a packable jacket like north face or other brand, portable charger, chapstick, water bottle, etc. Love the color as well! Would recommend it

Smaller than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not happy for this bag to cost the same price as the northface borealis mini and not be able to carry the same capacity is irritating i love sling bags and i thought that was the only difference between the two my notebook does not fit comfortably a water bottle can not fit comfortably in the designated pocket the fleece-lined pocket does not feel good on my skin and for that to be the only pocket outside of the main compartment it is an inconvenience just wanted another functional sling bag oh and the other bag is from swiss gear $20 and able to hold way more space and you can switch which side you want the strap to cross over.

very versatile, you need this when you travel!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it; its perfect for flights and hikes. I tucked a selfie stick mini tripod in the side pocket. My cell phone fits perfectly in the rear outer pocket and, surprisingly, also in the strap-mounted zip pocket. The large compartment fits my DSLR camera with a telephoto lens, a drone with a remote, a tablet 8", or a 40oz water bottle. I would give it 5 stars, but I wish it had a stabilizer strap so I could run with it or to keep it from sliding around when cycling.
