Great backpack for the littlest ones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this bag to replace a cute looking, but impractical, toddler backpack when said cute backpack wouldn't even hold a folder. Heads up, even daycares use folders to send home paperwork, who would make a backpack that wouldn't even hold a folder?!? More than seven years later I'm replacing this backpack because as my kid goes into middle school, it's finally getting to small. This bag went to daycare, preschool, grades 1-5, camping, and various summer camps for year after year after year. My intention was to replace it once it wore out, but every summer I would soak it overnight in some enzymatic laundry detergent, give it a scrub, rinse it until the water was clear, and it looked almost new. I don't review things, however, I felt like this toddler backpack earned it. It had the right number of pockets and while in elementary school something's were a tight fit (3 ring binder) we made it work. It is big enough for an adult to comfortably carry it, small enough my at the time toddler could too. At some point one of the outside buckles was damaged, but it wasn't required for it to work and that little backpack kept working (for years). In time where so many things don't last something that does deserves a review, so even though I never write these, here you go.

Loved the pack until the lettering starting coming off!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter's going to school backpack. It was washed the first time on low spin delicate cold water cycle and the lettering started coming off. It will be ruined next wash.

Not as good as older models

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The squash recon was a perfect kids backpack until now. North Face took away the exterior zip pocket that was perfect for things like hand sanitizer or pencils. Older models had fun prints that didn't show the inevitable dirt that gets on kid stuff and had a smaller more tasteful logo. Please return to the older model, I would buy that one again and again.

Great school backpack or carry on for flights.

I got this backpack as an upgrade from the rei tarn 18. My daughter loves the color and being northface you know it will last for years. very simple 2 pockets with an expandable outside one. love the ability to have two water bottles as well. good for hikes to multnomah falls and 0 complaints overall.

Well-made!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this backpack for my third grader for Christmas. It is well-made, durable, and has lots of great pockets and features. The only thing that I would say is that it is a little bit small even for a younger elementary student, I would probably use this at the preschool level or for daycare.

Poping color backpack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will be giving a five star to his backpack, for its durable material, bright and cute colors, the comfort of the back-straps. I wish they could have been more narrow because they rub the neck, but the padding idea is great. I can use it for work, travel or my baby's daycare supplies.

Cutest backpack !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This backpack is super cute and versatile. Even though it's made for youth it's the perfect size. Even my 40 oz hydroflask tumbler fits on the side pockets. This back pack it's either not too small or too large. I would definitely recommend this cute backpack.
