Wow!

I bought this waterproof jacket after my water resistant Columbia jacket did not protect me from a downpour. I was wearing this rain jacket recently when I got caught in a storm while hiking in the mountains. The only spot that was wet were my down jacket sleeves underneath. But my puffy down was completely dry to my surprise! Highly recommend!

Nice jacket, some issues

Got this jacket as I wanted a new waterproof jacket for my trips back to Portland. I'm 5' 8", 130 lbs, and got the medium. I found this jacket to run large - I like a bit of room in the body to accommodate a fleece or sweater, but this is large and bulky looking in the body even with a fleece. Didn't want to size down as the underarms would be too tight in a smaller size. Also, the side pockets gape open in an unattractive way when they are unzipped/open, and what use is a jacket if you can't leave the pockets open? Nice quality, stretchy fabric snd lightweight. I just think that for a premium price, it should look better on.

Perfect hood for heavy rain!

What a great jacket! I tested it today in heavy rain during a walk in the woods. The best part is the hood. It is large and the front of it stays in "overhang" mode so that my face is completely protected and I did not have to constantly adjust it to keep the rain out. I got an XL to accommodate a flannel shirt and a thin long sleeved down puffy for warmth. I like some breathing room too, so it wasn't constricting at all on my 5' 2" 140lb body and because I'm so short, it also covers my butt which I like. So comfy. Pockets are fine. Weight is great. Water beaded right up and I stayed totally dry. Recommend!

Columbia Water-resistant Shell

Nice and light. Super flattering and comfortable. A little spendy, but seems durable and like it will last me quite some time.

Great light raincoat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this raincoat because my current one, which was a medium, was tight over my hips. I couldn't find my current raincoat so I could get the next size up so I found a similar one in a large. I love this one. The hood and wrists can be tightened and it zips up to my chin. It's not thick but you can layer up.

Flattering style and good fit

I haven’t actually worn this in the rain yet, so really cannot attest to its breathability. But since there are pit zips, I believe it will be breathable. The fit is perfect. I normally wear an XL or 14 and it fit perfectly. Looks to be very good quality material and workmanship.

Great Rain Jacket

This is a great rain jacket, which is what I needed. I went up one size as reviews said it runs small. It fits perfectly. The hood actually stays where it should and shields your face instead of flopping around like most. Definitely recommend this jacket.

Good Choice for Rain Wear

Fits true to size with ample room for layering underneath. 3 zipped pockets are useful for stuff. Prefer a two way zipper in front. Was effective on a 5 mile walk in the rain today. Kept me dry and it was breathable as advertised. Bright red is a true red.

Omni-Tech-Columbia Rain Jacket

Great shell for the rain and durable. I needed something more durable as my lighter Columbia jacket after a heavy rain pour just wasn’t keeping me completely dry. This jacket does the job and also great on colder windy days being worn over my puffy.

Excellent light-weight rain shell

I love this jacket so much I purchased a second one to leave at our vacation home. Now I don’t have to check the weather. I will be protected wherever I am.
