Great system to span a range of kids shoe sizes
I received these skates to test and selected a size for my ten year old son, who has larger than average size shoes (size 4 kids), but they also work for my 6 year old daughter, who has petite little feet (toddlers size 12). The adjustment range can accommodate both kids, which is great (sort of, because now they argue over who gets to use the one pair....separate issue). There is a grey button by the toe portion of the skate, it is a little tough at first to push the button and adjust the sliding toe piece to expand or shrink the size of the skate, but it gets a little easier once you slide in in and out a few times. My son is not able to adjust the size, and his feedback is that it is hard to adjust the size up after his sister has been using them. But as the parent constantly buying new shoes as their feet grow, I think the effort needed to adjust the size is well worth it. Adjusting these skates as a child grows is preferrable compared to shelling out more money as their feet constantly grow, and the push button, toe slide mechanism is pretty good. The skates are good, with an upper ratchet system, a corner ankle velcro strap, and laces to tie. The kids usually just tighten the ankle velcro strap and the ratchet, and we rarely spend the extra time to lace them. If we were going for a long skate, it would them maybe be worth time tightening the laces correctly, but usually the quick tightening strap and rachet seem good enough for the kids to enjoy them. These skates are enjoyed by both kids, and I do see the genius in this system to accommodate kids feet as they constantly grow.
Comfort & Quality that will last
These skates are durable and great quality. My daughter loves the colors and the comfort of these skates. These are her first pair of inline skates & she picked it up with ease. The durability & quality is outstanding, with the adjustable sizing feature I know these will last her a while. She enjoyed riding around and continues to ask for the opportunity to get her skates on and head out for another ride
Beautiful, functional and sturdy rollerblades
These adjustable rollerblades work very well. They fit my 12-year-old daughter perfectly, she wears a women’s size 6. They are very attractive and sturdy. Adjusting the size is very easy, you just push a button and slide it forward and back.
Great youth skate that will grow with your child.
The K2 roller skates for youth were great. I was able to find a size that will adjust for my youngest which is 5 and my oldest which is 8. My oldest has an older pair of roller skates so these were a big upgrade and she was able to get the hang of them fairly quickly. My youngest struggled a bit as she hadn’t really roller skates yet. I love the fact that they are adjustable so we only needed one pair for both girls as they were learning.
Great inline skates that can be used for years.
These are great looking inline skates and seem to function very well. My daughter found them to be comfortable and supportive, and they roll very smoothly. The adjustable size is great so that she can wear these for more than just one summer. It is however, a little clunky to adjust the sizing.
Brilliant size adjustment!!!
These skates seem to match the women's sizing for sizes 4-8. There is an adjustment that allows the toe box to slide forward for feet in the higher sizes. My photos show the boots in the two extreme settings ( smallest vs. largest. )This allowed us multiple users for one pair ( obviously not at the same time). The toe box slides around the inner boot keeping it narrower for users on the smaller size range making a solid fit, yet allowing the a larger/wider foot to fit with the toe box extended. I found the EUR and CM sizing to be a bit off. I was able to stuff a women's foot size 40cm into the boot but it was uncomfortable. She wears women's 8.5-9 shoes. She also wears 25.5 in ski boots. The quality is consistent with another pair or K2 rollerblades I've owned for over 10 years so I imagine they can be passed down to younger siblings. These will be perfect for a young growing person with a women's size 4 shoe and growing. They make a great gift because you don't need the exact size to match because of the adjustability. The wheels spin nicely with quality bearings and the brake is solid.
Skates that last more than one season!
When the size said 4-8, I wasn't quite sure how that worked. Turns out these clever roller blades are adjustable, so that they can grow with your child or even be shared between siblings. With a litte push button, the boot of the skate can be extended up to a size 8, or shrunk down to a size 4. My 7 year old and 10 year old both fit comfortably in them. The button was a little tricky to get to work, but it's a clever design for a product for kids who are rapidly outgrowing things. The skates are kind of like ski boots, but softer - 3 different ways to tighten the boot: laces, velcro strap, and a click-in plastic buckle. Front and back pull loops help kids get the skates on. The skates are heavy (as skates usually are) - they're sturdy, and the wheels are a quality material (a softer more rubbery plastic that makes bumps in the road not quite as jarring) that look like they'll be able to handle a lot of wear. A super solid kids' roller blade!
K2 Rollerbladen!
Solid and safe construction, as would be expected by K2. Multiple, yet easy, latch systems for easy inserting of foot. Can adjust to multiple sizes which is awesome as our kids would outgrow in less than 5mo, and now can use for a couple years! Honestly I can’t come find anything I’d recommend to improve or change on these, they’re great…
First Time Skates for the Win!
These skates are affordable and last more than one summer! Being my daughters first pair I didnt want to overinvest and the fact that these skates are adjustable sold me. The quality is good and can easily take the punishment a first timer has put on them. Overall just a great skate and perfect for young people.
Skating with confidence
My daughter took it for a couple of rides before it got too cold here in NY. She moved well, and liked the color. As with most skates, a little break-in period and you're good! Looking forward to warmer weather.
