avoid

Product is mediocre and the bottle is a disaster. The bottle is defective and unusable. I emailed Muc Off and haven't received any response. Lousy product and weak customer service. The rounded edge towards the top of the bottle was defective and when I shook the bottle, the paint hiding the defect came off and sprayed the cleaner all over my workshop.

Great concept lame product

The concept is great, you keep the spray bottle and this reduces the plastic pollution out there. But after filling the bottle up and going to actually use it the whole thing comes undone, falls to the floor, spills the product, and the bottle gets a dent. Seems the top does not properly catch to the threads of the bottle, too smooth? It sucks, back to bucket of water and soap then.

Good cleaner, bad bottle

Looks like other reviewers experienced the same as I... The cleaner works great and I will be buying more 'refill' for sure. The bottle? No so great. The concept of a metal bottle to replace a plastic bottle is great and the reason why I bought this. However, the spray nozzle does not fit the bottle well and I experienced a lot of inconsistency between the bottle actually working and not working. The MucOff team helped me out and replaced the nozzle, but I had the same experience. I went to Home Depot and got a 2.99 reusable plastic bottle as the solution. I wouldn't waste your time with this bundle. Get one of the bundles with the reusable plastic bottles and refill pouches.

The line between great and terrible is thin

This is a tough one. When it works, the cleaner works excellently; however, it almost never works. I'm on my second pack of powder, and I've never had a simple wash of this stuff. The bottom will either not stay together or not spray. The bottle looks fantastic and feels great, but it doesn't work. I tried the powder in a different spray bottle, and it won't foam up like in the Muc-Off bottle. If this bottle would get redesigned so it would actually stay together and spray every time, this might be the best kit on the market. As of now, it's useless.

Great idea but flawed execution

Sprayer keeps popping off the bottle when it’s full causing you to drop it and lose the liquid, sprayer is hard to squeeze, and solution doesn’t seem to clean very well (had a hard time removing sun screen from the bike).

Not worth it unless it gets redesigned.

Same experience as others. filled the bottle with water and one packet of the solution, put the spray nozzle on, and went to shake it; the nozzle fell off. Screwed it on tighter, and it still came off. Then the spray nozzle wouldn't do anything, like nothing was coming out of it! Eventually got it to work, but not very well, then went to wash my bike, and the bottle fell off the nozzle again. Going to be returning this for sure and just going with the plastic bottle for now.

Good Product, But The Spray Top Collar Is Iffy

Works well and it's better for the environment than a lot of spray-on cleaners. Took a bit of coaxing to get the collar on the sprayer to fit on the bottle without leaking or coming loose. Think I've got it on well now, but it may take some fiddling every time you refill. Should be fixable, though, with a little attention, and much better long-term than a bunch of disposable plastic bottles.

Bad sprayer, dont waste money.

The bottle is terrible. I was so excited to get a premium muc-off product but turns out the top leaks all the freakin time and hardly stays on. Hold the handle the wrong way and the bottle just falls out of the threads if its full. Cant even support its own weight. Any time it tips over it leaks everywhere. The soap itself is good.

Catchy Name and Stretched Claims

The cleaner seems to work pretty well. I'm a bit dubious of the claims that's environmentally "friendly". It does have plastic parts, and aluminum as a container for a basic compound has its drawbacks. We'll have to see. Other than that it seems like a good cleaner, and I didn't try to understand the economic benefits fully.

Bottle Is Garbage

The screw top on the sprayer will not stay screwed on, and it will pop off and cause you to drop it. You're better off buying a 32oz/1L cheapo spray bottle and buying the powdered soap
