Is it crinkly? Yes, very. But u cannot say how much I appreciate being able to comfortably zip a rain jacket up over my hips and still feel like I can fit layers underneath it. For reference hip measurement is ~42-43,” I can be anywhere from a size M to an XL depending on the brand. I went with a size large here and I would say it maybe runs a smidge big, but I wouldn’t want to size down. The sleeves are a little long, but not unmanageable with the Velcro adjustments. The stiff brim on the hood is nice. Overall very excited to test this, it feels tough and waterproof but not overly burly or heavy.
