Loved them at first but durability is an issue

I bought these pants about a year ago and wore them about 3 days a week since then. At first I loved the pants and their features but after a year of regular use(office and personal life wear) the stitching and zippers have all started to have issues. The two pocket zippers came off their tracks about 6 months in and now the crotch zipper metal has bent making it no longer function. The stitching on the crotch has also stated to fail. I have had pants from multiple other brands that I have used for years and are still going strong. I hold Fjallraven gear in a pretty high regard for long term wear-ability(I have a pair of Kebs that are going on 5yrs with no issues) but have been very disappointed in these pants.

Great single colour, stylish hiking trousers

I really like these trousers. I wanted a pair of hiking trousers that looked a little more stylish and can be worn in a multitude of scenarios. I have them in green, a pleasing military shade, and like the fact they are all a single block of colour unlike many two-tone hiking trousers (which I personally find a little uncool). Material is flexible facilitating easy and fluid movement and is durable but not heavy. The cut is straight, not baggy, a little more slim than most walking trousers. The elasticated hem is practical and aids with the slimmer line of the trouser. The 3 pockets are all zipped which is practical. The yellow logo on the back is cool. I would recommend and may also buy in the blue colour too.

Never Take Them Off

Ok...so maybe to wash them once in a while. I've worn these pants while moving recently, hiking, around the campfire, to dinner, to the office, to a show, to the store...pretty much everywhere and anywhere. While the 30" length would have been ideal, the 32" waist and 32" length works (I'll be headed to one of our great tailors soon to get them hemmed). I'm a 32" in prAna, a 31" in Duer, and a 32" in Backcountry pants and the 48/32" pant fits perfectly. The cuff at the bottom is stylish, functional, and a huge plus for me on these pants. The somewhat elastic waist mitigates the need for a belt, though you can certainly wear one with these pants. They're functional, understated yet stylish, and the perfect weight. You cannot go wrong with these.

Not so improved fit

I loved loved loved these(3 pairs deep) and then bought another one in the improved fit. Improved is a relative term, it did not improve for me I the slightest. Whatever size you were comfortable in, now you have to size up. Until the change, these pants were fantastic. Durable for everyday use, comfortable as ever. Love the colours as well, I’ve been stopped a few times now asking me about my dope green pants. Waiting on a return to come back with a size up, so hopefully they are the way I’ve been enjoying them so far. To be continued…

Poor quality

I bought these trousers a little over a year ago and had done several light hikes and I love the comfort, fit and feel of these pants. I used them in my first challenging hike in the high peaks of the Adirondack mountains and had to slide down a few slippery slopes on my bum and the stitching on the back side of the trousers opened right up. I have always loved the Fjallraven brand and I have other purchases that I have been very happy with, but I was very disappointed in the durability and workmanship of this particular item.

Amazing before they "Improved the Fit"

I would give these 5 Stars, but for whatever reason Fjallraven decided to change their sizings. I have 2 pairs of the trousers in blue and gray. They fit perfectly. Well, I saw the new "Suede Brown" and really liked the color so I ordered them in my normal size. To my surprise, I put them on and they are extremely tight and do not fit. I don't see how they "improved" the fit. If Fjallraven decides to go back to their previous sizing then I will reorder. I hope this issue isn't the case for their other lineups.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I was searching for a pair of durable, technical, and good looking pair of pants and came across these. I absolutely love them and they perfectly fit the bill across the board. I wear them hiking, adventure cycling, to the office, and for travel/city use. I love the way they fit and look. They fit true to size in my normal 32"/30". You can never go wrong with the G-1000 material and the added stretch is a huge bonus. Please never stop making these and offer more colors!

New Favorites

Look, everything is subjective BUT - since these pants arrived - I cannot stop wearing them. They fit great (a little low on my waist but that's a preference thing) they're comfortable, stylish, they have great features. The water resistance functions well and is very welcome. I feel cool in warm weather and I feel warm in cold weather. I like the dark blue color. I love these pants. I hope they hold up. May buy another pair.

The most comfortable and practical pair of trousers I've worn for a long time

Got a pair few weeks ago and the only time I took them off is for a wash. Perfect for day to day use, perfect for casual, day to day look yet very practical and easy to take care of (just wash dirt off and you're good to go :) The stretchy material provides a very comfortable fit. I'm normally in between M-L sizes (depending on the brand) but on this occasion M was a perfect fit.

Beware of the new improved fit

I purchased the Vardag trouser just two months ago in stone grey and thought that they were perfect, 5 stars. I ordered a second pair in suede brown and the same size, 32/32. Apparently this is the “improved fit.”  The waist was so tight I could barely button them and the length was about two inches longer. Very disappointing. Needless to say I am returning them.
