Shweet Hat!
Great hat! So far I've used it for casual wearing in the sun and it does that well. However, I just took it on the Mt. Toby Ultra and it lemme tell you what. It held up amazingly well! The brim is surprisingly strudy and even shed rain after it was soaked. Not a heavy rain but constantly a good drizzle. Even though it was soaked it still wassnt necessarily soggy so it kept my head warm the whole time. As far as durability, all i can say is it didnt get torn after plowing through some branches and sliding down some rocks so if you're a better runner than I, itll last some time fo sho. It's light, packable and the leaf print is pretty epic. Tons of compliments haha. Only gripe is that the drawstring does almost nothing to keep the hat secure, it stayed on my head just fine but I don't think it could stand much wind. If that was fixed it would be a 110/100. I ordered the S/M and it was slightly big. I have a 7.5 hat size normally I think. Anyway, might help.

Great hat but not for windy days

This is a light weight hat with good sun coverage for hot weather. However, the elastic pull does not make the hat band significantly tighter because it is only a small section in the back. I bought the hat and rushed home to take a walk. I stepped out from my driveway, onto my road and gust of wind immediately blew my hat into a rapidly moving stream. Alas, I had to say goodbye to the hat. I got to wear it for five minutes because I was unable to make it sit more tightly around my head. Buyer beware.

Perfect "Beach Bum" hat!

Perfect "Beach Bum" hat! That could largely be a result of the pattern i got (literally the last one). ;-) I've got nothing but compliments when I've worn it and while it keeps the sun directly off it heats up pretty darn fast so it almost feels like you're wearing nothing. One suprise was just how thin the material it's made of was, it doesn't hold it's shape well when off the head but that makes it THAT much lighter during hot summer days. It DOES sink in water fast as has been noted in other reviews. I wore it surfing during a small day and on a wipeout i lost it and it sank like a stone but i managed to see it and snatch it back when it dried it mostly kept it's shape. Also you get salty deposits on it from your sweat (as has been noted in other reviews) but it probably varies from color to color. Overall I've been pretty happy with this purchase that i got on sale. One concern is how the netting on the underbrim will hold up over time. I've included two pics. The first is when it was brand new and the next is after a summer's hard use (or at least a month or two). I WILL say that i have a wider brimmed surfhat now and i also use that one when working outside due to the larger brim so this has been my more casual/hang-around in hat.

Lightweight and Cute, Wish it Came in More Colors

I really love this hat. I have long and thin hair, so I can manage to fit it all inside the hat & hide it so that it does not get in my way or stick to my back when out under the sun and end up with that specific thin-hair-lifelessness. Given the conditions, I can go throughout my sunny day with my hair tucked in and never once has it gotten damp with sweat, in fact my hair is completely dry and sweat free when i remove my hat. This hat does not fall off and it has a drawstring in the back you can tighten if needed. I wish this hat came in more color options as there are currently only 2. The neutral blue is really pretty and I can see this being a staple for the rest of my life.

the perfect bucket hat

Just what I was looking for: nice but not flashy, comfy, very light weight. Perfectly packable, durable. The brim is the right size, it does not look like a boonie hat but it protects my ears from the sun just as my dermatologist ordered. It is a terrific hat.

best hat I've ever had

this hat immediately felt like home. I put it on in the store intending to annoy my partner and ended up buying it in both colors.

Good for backpacking

Bought this because a hat that I had with a wider brim kept banging against the brain of my backpack on the trail. I wanted something with a slimmer profile that would still cover my ears. This little guy is sleek, has a nice feel, and there's a nice little sweatband around the inside brim that helps keep some sweat off your face. And it washes up nicely!

Great hat for all around use

Great fit, lightweight but very sturdy. Has an adjustable cord to cinch it for a better fit. Used for bike riding and the adjustable cord is great at keeping the hat on my head. The hats brim is exactly the right size for my liking.

Quality hat, just a bit warm

The hat is well made and fits well. I really like the shorter brim. I think this hat will suit me well on my backapacking trips in cooler weather. I wore this hat on the last two backpacking trips, which had humidity levels in the upper 80% with temps above 80 degress. The hat did not breathe extremely well and I had to leave it off most of the time. To be fair, any hat that I would have worn would most likely been soaked in sweat too.
