I just wanted a hijab good for the summer and sun and this was so awful I wouldn't even do yard work in this. If they used the same material in a square hijab(a larger bandana style) or rectangular shape, then it could work. It looks good on the model, because well she's a model. I wonder how many people they tested it on. Like a set of actual hijabis or just regular people who don't care what it looks like. I love REI and all their products and I am a regular customer, but I just want other hijabis to be warned.

It’s very light and good for sports. I agree it may not be flattering, but if you want something to run in or wear for sports then this is very nice. It’s meant to be a sports hijab. I bought the grey, very nice color and I’m going to order the black as well.

My daughter plays volleyball and needed a light weight hijab. This is really light weight, good quality, DRI-FIT material. A bit pricey but totally worth it.

I'll start off by saying I am a man and I purchased this to wear while being outdoors. I burn like a marshmallow and have tried different items to protect myself from the sun and biting insects with limited success. Whether it's fishing, gardening, or mowing the lawn this has been the first item which, when paired with an OR bug net, has truly kept me protected outdoors without me being uncomfortably warm. I definitely recommend. It runs a little tight, but I also understand I'm not the target demographic, so I would never sing it on that.

I never leave a review for anything but I love this hijab! It's so lightweight and it keeps my hair in place. It didn't slip at all for me during a 5 mile run even when I picked up the pace! I immediately bought 2 more after my first run. Definitely recommend! I've tried multiple hijabs (Nike, underarmour, haute hijab, lululemon) and this is by far my favorite.

I bought this for my wife as she’s just getting into running. She absolutely loves the hijab. It’s breathable, the drawstring keeps the hair in place and it’s not too snug around the face. She wants 5 more. Overall great design. Only complaint is standard colours like black are a bit hard to come by. Looking forward to future designs.

I wrote a review previously about how loud the material felt- I ended up keeping the scarf because I missed the return deadline and I found it was great for wearing canoeing in +34C weather!! I am used to a chiffon scarf that is very thin, but once you get used to this scarf it is perfect! Super light weight and feels barely there

This hijab had a nice shape on the face and felt lightweight. Unfortunately the fabric panels around the ears is thick and makes a rustling sound when you love. I found it hard to hear with the hijab on. I will be returning this product so I did not get a chance to test how it performs in the heat or when doing activity.

Honestly love this hijab so much, it's breathable and makes me look like myself and NOT an egg head which is a plus!! Love that it comes in multiple colours and the adjustable feature is super comfy and not restrictive at all. I also love that I can tuck it into a shirt while I'm climbing so I can see below!!

I think of it as a "cowl" because I'm not interested in the religious implications of a hijab. It has wider shoulders than a balaclava and contains stray hair under a helmet or cap.
